“The First of a New Line” – That was the marketing approach for MG as it rolled out its fresh MGA to the public in 1955. These cars were vastly different from any MG prior featuring a wider chassis, lower seating position, a more powerful “B-series” motor etc. it also features independent suspension and rack and pinion steering. The body was a much cleaner design sitting lower and wider with beautiful consistent body lines and a teethy front grill.

The highly original 1956 MGA offered here is an excellent running and driving example that retains an outstanding core structure as it is apparent that the body has never been taken off the frame. The motor has been through a recent top end freshening, new plugs, wires, distributer and new brake slave cylinder. The body, although not without some bumps and bruises, remains extremely solid and rust free and rides on optional wire wheels. Evidence points to one older repaint from its original factory, “Tyrolite Green” to “Old English White”. The interior appears to be very original and features its original “banjo” style steering wheel and black seats with white piping. The carpets are in good condition and may have been replaced at one time. The engine starts right up every time with no smoke, the car possesses good acceleration, smooth shifting, good braking and a tight suspension. The car also has a new convertible top and spare tire with original spare cover.

The MGA offered here possesses many opportunities as it is presently of good driver quality vehicle with a very solid frame and body structure, and confident mechanicals. The car is complete and can be driven the way it is or it is a candidate to restore to a high level. Either way, an opportunity at the price offered here.

·       The winning bidder must contact GR Auto Gallery within 24 hours by phone(616-855-6600) or E- mail(sales@grautogallery.com) to start transaction and to receive a Purchase Order via Fax or E-mail.

·       The winning bidder must respond within 2 days after the auction with a $1,000 deposit required via wire transfer, or certified funds(cashier's check) to start the transaction. The buyer has 6 days to do his/her inspections and due diligence. After the 6 days following the closing day of the auction, if the buyer has not completed his/her inspections and due diligence, it will be understood that the vehicle will be taken as an "As Is" without the inspection by the buyer. If the above items are not met within the allotted time frame, the vehicle may and will be available to all other buyers on a first come first serve basis. In a nutshell, the deal must be consummated within 6 days from the closing day of the auction. Please notify us for any exceptions.

·       All sales are subject to $195 documentary fee.

·       Michigan residents pay 6% sales tax, registration fee of $15. Out-of-state customers may pay tax and register the vehicle in their own applicable state. Upon request, we can also complete the buyers home state registration.

·       The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. We will arrange for shipping, if requested. Also, the transportation to and from the airport and our location is buyer's responsibility.

·       Most of our vehicles are Frontline, Off-lease, or Trade-in vehicles from Upscale Franchise Dealerships (Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Jaguar, Porsche, Land Rover, Bentley, Ferrari, Lexus, etc...). In translation, most of the vehicles we auction are individual-owned cars before becoming trade-ins or lease turn-ins.

·       GR Auto Gallery makes every attempt to deliver our vehicles to our clients with two keys, key fobs, manuals, booklets, NAV CDs, wheel locks, tool kits, etc..., however, from time-to-time, a vehicle may be missing one or more of these items and we cannot guarantee that they will be included in the vehicle at the time of sale. Please call for the exact accessories included for the vehicle.

·       The vehicles in the auction are pre-owned vehicles and they are sold as "As Is" condition. However, most vehicles may still be in factory warranty or an extended warranty may be purchased. Ask for details.

·       For Canadian car buyers: If the title is to be released at the time of delivery (which is pretty much mandatory to get your vehicle thru customs), wire transfer is your quickest way to handle this transaction. If the payment is not a bank wire transfer, i.e., certified bank check or approved loan check, the title will only be released when all funds have cleared. Please keep in mind that the funds verification process can take up to 15 days. We will assist buyers with whatever documents you will need to clear Canadian customs, but knowing exactly which documents are required by your home province are the buyers responsibility.
