1984 El Camino SS; A classic Hot Rod.

Relatively new paint and interior; AC and power windows and locks.  A new (from the crate) GM V-8 motor: 385 ci with a Vortech II super-charger (490 HP).  Turbo-400 tranny and a 3.73 Moser rear end with geared positive-traction.  Other electric and mechanical goodies.  Have invested nearly $48,000.

I bought the car from Chuck Ballengee of of Albermarle, NC.  He is a retired body mechanic of Confederate Chevrolet who did all the bodywork, repaint and interior of the, then, original restoration.  This El Camino was, and is, a good looking car!

The power train was professionally installed by Bobby Young.  He is the owner of C.I.N Motorsports and did the rebuild in the Fall of 2005.  I have put less than 1,000 miles per year on this car since then.

The major features of my El Camino include a MSD ignition system; Aero A-1000 electric fuel pump; Jeg custom headers; Dual flow-master mufflers; and hydraulic emergency brake.
