Bentley introduced an all new sedan at the Geneva Motor Show in 1982, based off of the new Rolls Royce Silver Spur introduced the same time. The new sedan was an all new body shape and retained Rolls Royce’s famous 6.75 V8 engine. The familiar hand polished wood veneer, Connolly leather hides and Wilton wool carpets were present as well a few extra inches added to the new sedan. For 1984, Bentley introduced a new member to the Saloon family, the Bentley Eight. The Eight was identical to the Mulsanne and Turbo R except it did not carry the Turbo. The sedan proved so popular that the model carried onto model year 1998.

This gorgeous motor car left the Crewe factory in late 1989 and was invoiced to Bentley/Rolls Royce North America. The car was then sent to Newport Auto Center Rolls Royce Bentley of New Port Beach CA where it sold to its first owner on March 13^, 1991 in the amount of $115,590 including the optional Connolly leather hide headliner. The first owner also had the front grille replaced at the dealership with the factory Mulsanne Saloon chrome slatted grille. The first owner lived in the Laguna Beach area with the car until the second owner took possession of the car and brought it to Palm Springs. The car has lived in either Orange County or Palm Springs its entire life until European Motor Studio brought the car to AZ. This is an absolutely meticulously maintained Bentley Saloon since brand new and has every single piece of documentation and service history to go with the car. This stunning Eight Saloon is 100% original and unmolested in every possible way, it never been involved in an accident or has ever seen any kind of damage. All of the original equipment is still with the car, including all of the original owners handbooks and case, warranty books, radio code cards, warranty cards, new ownership cards, Bentley accessories brochure, service book, dealer network book, radio book, 4 original Bentley keys with two remote fobs, original jack, tool kit and spare are all present with the car. The car even comes with the original pre delivery inspection report from the selling dealer, and original paperwork from the new car purchase. Every single electronic item on the car works as it was designed to. The windows, locks, mirrors, seats, memory seats, power radio antenna, cruise control, AC and heat, gauges and lights are all functioning. All exterior and interior lights are working; the original Pioneer factory radio is working as well as all of the speakers. The Acrylic White paint is 100% original in every way and has never been touched up or repainted. There are a few areas on the clear that are starting to lightly check, I tried to take close up pictures of the areas but it was extremely difficult to capture in the photos. All of the chrome and trim on the exterior are all original and in beautiful condition and completely free from any damage or pitting. The glass on the car is completely clear and free from any pitting or cracks. The wheels are the original factory chrome Bentley sport wheel and still have a beautiful shine to them and free from any curb rash. The tires are newer with about 60% tread life left. This Eight Saloons interior is absolutely exquisite, its looks almost showroom new. The 100% original Parchment Connolly leather is so soft and supple, and shows almost no signs of any wear or creasing. The beautiful contrasting off white piping on the seats look almost new and stills retains its original color. The carpets are the original Wilton wool, and although not perfect, still show beautifully along with the original floor mats. The wood grain looks almost perfect; there are no cracks in any pieces of the wood. There are a couple tiny little pits in the driver’s door but so minimal you would have to look up close. All of the interior chrome and switch gear still look almost new, there are no signs of wear or damage to any of the pieces and everything still fits and works well. The leather headliner is stunning and looks completely untouched. Mechanically this car is outstanding. The car starts right up, does not blow any smoke, and idles incredibly smooth. Acceleration is very crisp and smooth from the 6.75 litre V8 and the transmission shifts effortlessly. There are no problems going into gear, or any issues under acceleration. The suspension is nice and tight, free from any rattles or creaking. The brakes are excellent and show no signs of fade or squeaking. This Bentley Eight saloon has been maintained to the highest level and great pride of ownership is obvious when you see and drive this car. These are incredibly hard to find with any kind of history or service records to prove maintenance. The Bentley saloons offer some of the best value for the money, they are still hand built rather than assembled by robots, and offer the utmost refinement and elegance. This Bentley Eight has a clean and clear carfax and title.
