2005 Volkswagen Jetta TDI

This is a beautiful and well maintained one owner Volkswagen Jetta. It is in good condition inside and out. It is loaded with lots of nice features including heated leatherette seating surfaces, sunroof, premium sound system, trip computer, automatic climate control, ESP, and much more.  This car is powered by the efficient and torquey BRM TDI turbo diesel engine.  This engine is mated to the rock solid 5 speed manual transmission.  Put together, this powertrain is very desirable and with proper care and maintenance should provide the new owner with thousands of miles of reliable and efficient transportation.

History  
This one owner car was manufactured in June of 2005 and first registered in August of 2005 in the state of Maryland where it has been ever since. This car has a clear and clean title history with no issues to report. This car was involved in a minor rear end accident.  You can see the scratches and scuffs on the rear bumper in the pictures we have provided. We have included the Autocheck report at the top of this listing so you can see for yourself. This vehicle has been well maintained by the previous owner and we have completely gone through this car in our shop to complete all the necessary maintenance and repairs.

Mechanical 
This Jetta runs and drives like a new car. The engine runs great with all of its original power. The transmission shifts smoothly and crisply and the clutch feels good with no slipping. The air conditioning blows ice cold. The check engine light is not on and there are no other warning lights illuminated.  The underside of this car is clean and dry with no leaks or rust.  The tires are nice matching Michelins with about 70% tread left. We have just completely serviced this vehicle including oil change, new air filter, new fuel filter, new cabin air filter and new timing belt and water pump. The BRM engine also had a problem with premature camshaft wear if the proper spec oil wasn't used.  This car did have some cam wear starting to show.  So we replaced the camshaft, lifters, and bearings. All in all, we did over $3,000 of maintenance to this car so you shouldn't have anything to worry about it for a long time.  If you had this work done at a VW dealership the bill would have been over $4,500.  If you had bought this car from most used car dealerships, they would never have noticed the cam wear and certainly wouldn't have preemptively repaired all of this and more.  This is the Mountain Valley Motors difference! This car has just passed a Virginia State inspection.  It is ready to drive anywhere.

Exterior

This Jetta looks nice but it does have some minor cosmetic imperfections but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance of this car. The rear bumper has some scuffing on the passengers side behind the rear wheel(see picture), and all of the wheels have some curb rash (See pictures).  I would rate the exterior of this car a 7 out of 10.

Interior
The interior of this car is very nice as well. The seats and carpet are clean with no stains or rips. There are no unusual or offensive odors and this car has not been smoked in. The drivers seat bolster is showing some light wear. We replaced the headliner with a new OEM one as it was starting to pull back around the edges like these cars are famous for doing.  We also replaced most of the buttons and switches in this car that have the soft rubber coating which peels off including a newer VW radio with the silver buttons which will not peel. We have two key/remote combo's, spare tire and tools, and the owners manuals.  I would rate the interior a 9 out of 10.

Every vehicle then passes a rigorous Virginia State Inspection by an independent mechanic.  We try to describe the vehicles as completely as possible, however if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or email us.  

Honesty and integrity are very important to us. You are encouraged to come inspect the vehicle in person before the close of the auction, or have an inspection service to do it for you.  Please call before you come as we are sometimes out of the office or have the vehicle at a different location. You are welcome to drive the vehicle before you make final payment.  If you find that the vehicle is not as it was described in the listing you are entitled to a full refund of any deposit you have paid.  This is only available if you come to our location to pick up the vehicle. If you have the vehicle shipped and wish to return it for a refund you will be responsible for the shipping charges both ways.  Your trade-ins are welcome as well.
