Up for sale we have a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. This is a fresh resto that has been built from the ground up. This style Trans Am has one of the largest and continually growing followings worldwide. The one we have has everything you could want. It’s done in the iconic Black and Gold Trim color scheme and is loaded up with the Four Speed, 4 Wheel Disc Brakes, and upgraded Vintage AC & Heat. In the paragraphs to follow we will give you a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Pontiac, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Trans Am. As we said earlier this is a fresh resto that is obvious from the first glance. When you look down the sides of this car it has great line and the fit of the panels are as good if not better than when it was new. Everything is covered in the Starlite Black Paint that is accented by the Gold Bird and Stripes. The paint has a deep rich shine that shows very well and has been buffed and polished to a mirror finish. This is a T Top Car and they are in great shape with what looks to be new weather stripping around the doors trunk. With this being a T/A it has all the spoilers as well as the shaker hood and ground effects. The final exterior touch is the upgraded factory Honey Comb Wheels that are now 17” with the gold accents.

Next, we will take a look at the interior of the ’78. Everything is done in black that makes for the perfect complement to the exterior scheme. It has the correct bucket seats, console, and shifter. A lot of the interior in this TA looks new like the carpet and door panels. When you look at the dash it looks correct with the gold trim around the gauges. The heat and air control were upgraded for the new vintage system and fit very clean and neat into the dash. As for the radio it was upgraded as well and what would a T/A be without a CB. This car has the correct steering wheel and tilt column with working Power Windows.

Finally, we will take a look at the driveline of the Pontiac. Under the hood it has a fresh 455 Pontiac V8 that is mated to the 4 Speed Trans and this is a factory 4 Speed car. The engine has an Edelbrock intake with a Holley Carb. It has black Valve covers to go with the engine. Also the ignition was upgraded to Mallory and for the exhaust it has Headers with Flow Master Mufflers. When you look at the brakes it has the WS6 4 Wheel Disc Brakes with Power to go along with the Power Steering. The bottom of this T/A looks very good. All the pans are solid with no signs of any damage. The best we can tell it has the correct rear end with front and rear sway bars.

Unless the car is advertised as an original Mileage car do not assume that the Mileage/Odometer reading is the actual mileage.  It is simply what the odometer is reading at the time of the pictures.  IT IS NOT ACTUAL MILEAGE UNLESS STATED SO IN DESCRIPTION.
