MotoeXotica Classic Cars has your opportunity to heat up your collection with this 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Hardtop — the car GM called the “Hot One” in advertising campaigns.

1955 marked the first year of the second generation of Bel Airs. Chevy’s styling for the new Bel Air was crisp, clean and incorporated a Ferrari-inspired grille. New features on the ’55 model were interior carpet, chrome headliner bands on hardtops, chrome spears on front fenders, stainless steel window moldings and full wheel covers. The popularity of the Bel Air skyrocketed as it was the most popular car of 1955. Today, it remains highly collectable and appeals to many classic car collectors.

A V8 engine under the hood supplied more power to the full-sized auto, new for Bel Airs that year. The Bel Airs were smooth, powerful and easy to service. The small block engine was mated to an updated wider chassis, ball-joint front suspension and came with tubeless tires. The ’55 Bel Air was a hit and the fruition of the Chevrolet design team.

Many ’55 Bel Airs have been modified or hot-rodded, but MotoeXotica’s latest addition to our showroom is this pure stock 1955 Bel Air. The solid steel body has no apparent filler. This car had the same owner since 1955. This owner treated this coveted ’55 hardtop to a frame-off restoration. The underbody of this car shows the depth and attention to detail that went into the restoration. Correct restorations include replated chrome, accurate cloth replacement interior, and a Gypsy Red and Indian Ivory two-tone exterior with rich patina. While the car was professionally painted several years ago, it does show some age and minor nicks and dings. Features on this Bel Air include a factory custom De-Luxe AM radio, heater/defroster, clock, gas tank trim and rear fender skirts.

This ’55 Chevrolet Bel Air will make a great addition to your classic car collection, whether visiting family on the weekends or taking this beauty to a car show. Available with this Bel Air are the original owners and shop manuals along with other Chevrolet memorabilia including a 1955 accessories booklet. No vehicle is perfect to everyone. Each vehicle has its strengths, styles, tendencies and shortcomings. Therefore, despite our best efforts to verify a vehicle's mechanical condition, we are not able to warranty a manufacturer’s workmanship or previous owner’s diligence in care. It is for this reason that all vehicles are sold "AS IS". We have described the above mentioned vehicle to the best of our ability. However, with all pre-owned automobiles, the condition is subjective. Please be advised that no oral or written statements concerning any vehicle constitutes a representation or warranty of the condition of the said vehicle. The vehicle is available for inspection prior to bidding. All disputes arising out of or resulting from this sale shall be finally determined by binding arbitration in St. Louis, Missouri in accordance with the commercial rules of arbitration of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be carried out by one or more arbitrators in accordance with said rules. Any award shall be enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction in the same manner as judgments. This agreement to arbitrate shall survive the sale of the automobile described herein. Buyer and Seller hereby agree that Missouri law shall control for all purposes under this Bill of Sale. Buyer and Seller hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts of Missouri to specifically enforce the agreement to arbitrate and to enter judgment of and enforce the award of the arbitrator. All above terms and conditions are applied to vehicle sales, whether through Ebay or otherwise. Sorry, but in all fairness to the bidding process, I will NOT disclose my reserve price until the auction has ended.

Payment Terms
Payment must be made by Cashiers Check, Money Orders or Wire Transfers payable in US Dollars. A Refundable deposit in the amount of $500.00 must be received within Twenty-Four(24)hours of the auctions close either by Master Card, Visa or PayPal. The buyer has seven(7) days from close of auction to inspect the vehicle. If the vehicle is not to your liking within this seven day inspection period then your deposit will be refunded 100%. If an inspection or decision takes longer then seven days and you find the vehicle not to your liking, your deposit will be forfeited and the car will be relisted. Final payment must be received within ten (10) days of the auction close. The refundable deposit only applies if you or an agent inspect said vehicle in St. Louis and find it not to your liking. I will not be responsible for buyers remorse or problems found to said vehicle once they have left my property. I am just being realistic, most of the cars I deal in are vintage and by their very nature will need TLC and some degree of attention sooner or later. These are not new cars and should not be treated as such. Once full payment has been received, Seller will fax a copy of clear title, Bill of sale, Buyers guide and additional DMV forms to the Buyer to sign and return via fax. The forms must be returned to the Seller prior to the shipment of said vehicle. Original paperwork will be sent to Buyer Via overnight mail seven(7)days from date of final payment. Transportation will commence only after final payment and signed documentation are received. Once a car is picked up from our premises, you will NOT be able to return the car.

Overseas shipments will be placed into a steel container for safe sea passage. We take care of all the details and paperwork. All you have to do is collect the car at port and enjoy!
