Up for auction is another fine example of a low mileage 1-owner original car a 1978 Lincoln Mark V Diamond Jubliee with just 7,000 original miles. If your not familiar the Diamond Jubliee was an option that cost over $8,000 on top of the original purchase price. Only two colors were available, Diamond Blue or Jubilee Gold with production numbers around 5,000 total.

This car has very distinctive accents including opera windows with beveled glass, diamond jubilee edition script, and simulated diamond chip. This car is in very nice original condition. The original finish has been touched up in two small areas because of sun fade (very small spots) otherwise it's all original. I would grade the finish to be a 5 footer, up close some defects, mostly staining. The vinyl top is original and as I tried to photograph it has some dry cracks in it which you can see when you get up close. The pin stripping is all original. The moonroof glass looks brand new. The bumpers are in great shape. The tires are brand new, the originals were dry rotted.

The interior is show quality and still smells new. The rare and expensive factory umbrella that rests in the center console is still present. The dash, upholstery, headliner, carpeting, etc... Looks and feels brand new! The car is cold and everything works. The car has the optional CB radio and sunroof. All the power windows operate perfectly. The headlights flip up like they should, properly.

The car is very solid and was undercoated when it was sold new. The bottoms of the doors are clean and rust free. The doors shut like they should. The trunk is still detailed with the original tool kit, bumper jack and spare tire.

I have lots of original paperwork with this car including just about every registration for every year is wasn't driven. The original manuals, protecto plate, and books are still present. This is a fine example of a rare luxury car- one of the last big Lincoln's. Please review all pictures as I have taken upward of 100.
