Personal Info From The Seller

Dear Car Specialties,

Here is some background on my parents 1972 240Z in case potential buyers ask.  I am now 49 years old and my folks are in their mid to late 70's and I remember many occasions riding in this car as a 8 year old with my 6 year old younger sister.  This is why my parents had the back seat custom made, so we would have a place to sit.  Of course this was prior to seat belt laws but it provided as a place to sit for short trips.  This custom seating is in great condition and can be removed without any tools whatsoever.  Now it could easily serve as a place for bagged groceries or a pet to sit.  This custom option will be included with the sale.

I remember my folks picking this specially ordered Automatic for my Mother from the Dealership in Watsonville, CA ; Dave Hart Datsun of Watsonville, CA.   We live in the Monterey Peninsula where this car was my Mom' daily driver for 29 years going to work at Community Hospital of Carmel.  My father ,a retired Deputy Sheriff and Vietnam Vet rarely drove the car- it was my Mothers car.  She kept this car is meticulous condition and the original manual and paperwork will also be provided to the buyer.  On one occasion Monterey had a local car show where she and the "Z" won best in class, the photo of her holding the trophy and other photos showing the "Z" in its original silver color will be provided to the buyer.  The ONLY change to this bumper to bumper one owner 240Z is the paint, which is silky smooth and in mint condition.  She always kept this car garage kept and covered.

Growing up I would hear my folks relay to friends how they almost bought a 1972 Opel GT instead.  It was a popular two seater at the same time but a good friend convinced them the 1972 240Z was a better choice.  Thank goodness for their friend as both cars went down in history for different reasons.  The next year in 1973 was the Opels last and the "Z" tradition continues today with a many folks still in love the original 240Z.

Thank you for assisting with the sale!  If it sells, the buyer is extremely lucky to have bought this pampered family member. If not,  I will be returning it to Monterey and maybe one of their grandchildren will inherit this treasure.  Please let your potential buyers know this really is a once in a lifetime chance!

Best Regards,

Dxxxx Nxxxxxx.
