Introduced to the public in September 1968 at The Earls Court Motor Show, Jaguar took a big leap forward with the introduction of a completely redesigned sports sedan. The XJ6 was a brand new concept, it offered excellent room for 4 adults, a gorgeous shape and a powerful performance oriented 6 Cylinder XK engine. The XJ6 also had a very capable and highly tuned chassis and was one of the best sedans in the slalom course. The XJ sports sedan offered the driver an outstanding balance of luxury and sportiness, and competed with the top brand such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW. The XJ was re-invented for model year 1995 and brought back styling cues of the original XJ sedan of 1968. The body style carried on for model year 2003 and is said by many to be the last of the true great Jaguar XJ’s.

European Motor Studio is proud to offer this stunning 2003 Jaguar XJ8 Saloon finished in Quartz Metallic on Oatmeal Connolly leather interior. This one owner Southern California owned XJ8 left the Coventry Browns Lane factory in June of 2002 making this one of the very last 2003 XJ’s to leave the factory before production began on the redesigned XJ for 2004. This XJ8 was invoiced to Jaguar North America and then shipped to Hornburg Jaguar in Santa Monica California. The first and only owner purchased the car on May 7^th 2003 and have owned it ever since. Always garage kept and serviced routinely at Hornburg Jaguar this XJ8 is in exceptional condition. The Quartz Metallic paint is absolutely beautiful; it still retains its original shine and only has a couple tiny stone chips on the front nose. There is one small scratch on the rear bumper that has been touched up and one small scrape on the back left bumper edge. The body of the car is completely rust free and laser straight, free from any dents or dings. The car has been in southern California its whole life and has never seen any snow or elements. The Oatmeal Connolly leather interior is absolutely stunning. The leather is so soft and supple, the piping is still all intact and near perfect. The carpets are almost spot free and the headliner is mint. All of the wood still retains a beautiful dark red wood color, and only two small hairline cracks on the passenger door wood panel. The rest of the trim pieces and switch gear are near showroom showing almost no signs of wear or use. The car is equipped with the optional heated front and rear seats and the optional premium Alpine sound system with 6-disc CD changer. Tilt and telescoping power steering wheel is all functioning properly with the entry exit feature. 12 way power driver and passenger seats are all functioning with three position memory settings. The tilt and sliding sunroof is working as designed on the car as well as the power antenna. All electronics on the car are functioning, headlights, taillights, side marker lights, brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals and all dash lights and gauges are all working. Two Jaguar factory keys, one remote, all owners manuals and warranty books are all present with the car. The car is perfect mechanically, starts right up, idles perfectly and accelerates smoothly. The transmission feels very tight and free from any hard shifting or clunking. The suspension and steering are all free from any noises and feel like a Jaguar should. The brakes are excellent and show no signs of fade or pulsating. The tires have about 70% tread life left and the brake pad life is a little over 50%. The car was recently serviced with new fluids and was just recently smogged in California. The car has a clean carfax and free and clear from any accidents or damage history.
