Offered here is a Stunning 1969 Buick GS 400 Stage 1...in Antique Gold Exterior and Buckskin Interior. This is an Original Numbers Matching GS 400 Stage 1. Built in Flint Michigan....a correct-code "RS" Engine with Correct VIN....and Code "BB" Turbo 400 Transmission. Code "ON" 3.64 Posi Rear Axle.

As part of a comprehensive resto, this car was Stripped to Bare Metal and Painted (Antique Gold)....matching the Original Paint in the door jam. Original Sheet Metal. New Exhaust with Headers. (the complete original exhaust is available). This ver solid car Runs and Drives in an exceptional manner...like a 1969 Buick should. 1 of 840 Automatic 1969 GS 400 Stage 1 cars produced. 

In 1969 the GS 400 wore a true cold-air induction hood, and the Stage I package offered serious performance. The Stage I made 345 hp and came with Posi-traction, optional disc brakes and heavy-duty suspension. More impressively, the car’s engine generated 440 ft-lb of low-end torque. 

For the 1969 model year, engine code was changed to RS (which this car has).  Savvy buyers (at the time) knew that the "factory-rated output" was underrated, especially with the redesigned cold air induction system, drawing through relocated hood scoops for the 1969 model year. Beginning with the Stage 1 400, upgraded equipment included a special high-lift camshaft (identified by a single machined groove), tubular pushrods and heavy-duty valve springs, as well as a 5/8-inch oil-pump suction pipe, a specific distributor and Rochester carburetor and a high-capacity fuel pump. Chromed rocker arm covers bolted up against reworked cylinder heads that contained larger 2.12- and 1.75-inch intake and exhaust valves. 

According to 1969 production records obtained from the Buick GS Club of America, a total of 1,468 Stage 1 engines were installed in the available 1969 GS.

Out of state buyers are not charged tax, title, or license. The customer is responsible for registering the vehicle in their home state.

Taxes and Fees
In state buyers will be charged state and local taxes, title, registration, and documentary fees. Our documentation fee is $50. All sales transactions must be completed within 5 days of auction close.

Deposit
We require a $1500 deposit within 3 days of winning the auction. Please call the dealership to make arrangements for payment.
