Notes about the Car

This has been owned by two familes.

The original owner lived in Arizona. He was in the Military and served in England in WWII. He fell in love with MGs. When he returned home from service he bought this car and had it shipped over to the States.

My father got this car in 1986. It was his 60th birthday gift.  He took excellent care of the car and enjoyed it immensely.

He passed away four years ago and the car was passed along to me.

My Dad lived in Albuerquerque and we had the car shipped here to Indiana where it has been for the last four years. It has always been garage kept.

It is all original. It has 65,293 original miles. The plate on the engine compartment reads:
Car Number: TD/C21410
Engine Number: 5622

To my knowledge the paint is original except for the right front fender (more on this below.)

It drives very well. It starts right up. It was 29 degrees outside when we took these photos and the car started right up. (You do need to use the choke in colder weather but it always starts right up.)

The brakes are in great condition. It shifts smoothly. Overall, it is very fun and easy to drive.

We had it checked over about 9 months ago. We had a new battery installed.

The only issues I know of is the windshield wiper motor needs to be replaced. I never replaced it since I never drive the car in the rain. Aside from this, everything works - headlights, brake lights, etc. all work.

The right front fender looks to be a slightly different shade than the left fender. I don't have any records of the car being painted so I don't know why this is. I have paperwork on the car going back to 1986. There is no history of it being in any accidents so this remains a mystery.

The paint is good, but there are some chips here and there - mostly in the door jamb areas. The carpet shows wear consistent with its age. The leather on the seats is in good shape. There is some surface rust on the underside, but this is limited to surface rust. Aside from the last 4 years the car has spent its whole life in Arizona and New Mexico.

The top is in good condition. The side curtains are in good condition.

The car is located in Depauw, IN which is 48 miles from Indianapolis, IN.
