The motor modifications are as follows: Cosworth M2 cams, Cosworth titanium springs and retainers, ARP headstuds, FP Green HTA73 turbo, 3" turba-back exhaust, AMS fuel rail, ID2000 injectors, Fuel Labs return kit, twin Walbro 285lph fuel pumps, ACT clutch, AMS front mount intercooler, AMS hardpipes, and Synapse BOV. It does also have a lightweight battery, Stance GR+ coilovers, Defi gauges, and an AEM wideband.

This Evo does come with two tunes, which you can switch between on the fly. One tune is for E85 and dyno'd a conservative 450awhp. The second tune is for 91 octane, for when E85 is not available.

Q: Where do your vehicles come from?

A: We hand select our vehicles from a national network of dealer auctions.  These vehicles are often sourced from the leasing arm of manufacturers such as Ford, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, and many more.  Others come from franchise dealerships, banks, and private owners.

Q: Why is your asking price so much lower then my local dealership?

A: Your local dealer has a large prime retail location with many employees and expansive advertising.  While many of these features are nice, the costs are passed on to the customer.  Many dealers also want to leave plenty of margin for customers payment shopping or who have a trade in so they can play games with the numbers.  This leaves it up to the consumer to be educated on car buying and makes them have to negotiate and haggle to bring the price down.  Oakes Auto keeps a low overhead by being online driven with no sales force.  We are also very aware of the market place and price our vehicles competitively to move quickly.  The vehicle you look at this week will more then likely be sold by the next.

Q: I'm from out of the area, how can I be sure what I'm buying and how do I get it home?

A: First off, we try to provide detailed descriptions and pictures that clearly represent the vehicle you are purchasing.  This includes a full vehicle history report.  Secondly, we encourage third party pre-purchase inspections of your choice.  As far as delivery goes, you can have your vehicle shipped via open or enclosed transport.  We have provided a transport quoting tool and this represents the most that shipping will cost.  Many times the actual shipping rate will be much cheaper then this estimate.  The other option is to fly into Kansas City International Airport where we will pick you up in your new vehicle.  This allows you to inspect the vehicle and complete the transaction in person.  Feel free to make a vacation out of the trip as Kansas City has many attractions.

Q: This will be my first vehicle purchase online and I'm uneasy about the transaction?

Q: I need to trade in my current vehicle do you accept trades?

A: Oakes Auto accepts all trades and will work with you to get your vehicle information and pay off so we can accurately appraise your trade in.  This applies to out of area buyers as well.  We will complete a vehicle appraisal over the phone.

Q: Does this vehicle come with the owners' manual, spare key, floor mats, etc.?

A: Please pay close attention to both the vehicle description that we write and the pictures.  What you see is what you get.  Sometimes our VIN# decoding software will include a factory option or feature that is no longer on or with the vehicle.  It is always best to give us a call or email to clarify any questionable item you may have.

Q:  Is this vehicle completely free of any scratches, dents, or any other flaws?

A:  Please keep in mind that these are used vehicles and NOT brand new.  While we will either fix or fully disclose any major mechanical or cosmetic damage, any used vehicle will show signs of wear in respect to its age and mileage.
