So, like any Porsche we could go on and on about the technical stuff like yes it has a 3.6L flat six paired with the acclaimed 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission called in short PDK or (Pretty Darn Kwik) <-- okay not the right spelling but we've heard it numerous times) that gives you a whopping 345 horsepower.  Yeah, we could talk about all of that but that's just the guts of the car.  This car is about the emotional experience of getting into it every time and with the turn of the key feeling the 345 hp engine rev and vibrate your Porsche's soul.

So, let's just get to it.  The DRIVE.  First thing you'll notice in the Targa 4 is the sound.  That devious sound.  The gurgle of the exhaust will get you every time.  It will remind you that this is no ordinary Porsche, this is the Targa 4.  Or naturally aspirated nirvana as I'd like to call it.  Put the 7 speed automatic shifter back into gear and ease off the brake and squeeze the accelerator pedal, you'll then get immediate throttle response and you are off.  Squeeze the accelerator and you'll find that the Targa 4 paired with the 7 speed automatic dual clutch transmission is both extremely responsive yet predictable.  Push your sport button and you'll find a throttle response that goes from normal to aggressive to a Lewis Hamilton like lead foot and even further hit the sports exhaust button and hear the exhaust gurgle like it's very upset with all the other lame cars on the road!

Oh, the handling and ride on the Targa 4 is superb!  With the Targa 4 you'll get an extremely comfortable and adaptable ride.  The wide body and grip that the T4 provides is both extreme and what every Porsche should feel like.  Don't get us wrong, every Porsche has amazing grip. . . the Targa 4 just does it even better. These handle like a mid engine Boxster or Cayman in some respects.  Finding the apex in this car is absolutely no problem whatsoever.  So, whether you are cruising in your local city or out at the track we find the Targa 4 is potentially one of the best 911's that we've seen in awhile and a bargain for the extra equipment and exclusitivity that you'll be receiving.

To be honest, when driving a Targa 4 before previously I didn't even turn the radio on.  Just rolled down the windows, rolled back the Panoramic Roof system and listened to the angry exhaust system scream at other cars that were near me.  Sounds great whether you are listening to Mozart or the Black Eyed Peas.
