Just arrived, one of the nicest examples we have seen. No accidents, clean car fax with one reported owner. Non-smoker owned with back up camera. Impeccable condition. Fuel saving front wheel drive version. You will not find a better buy on an economy SUV on ebay this week. A home run from every angle. A+

 

Mechanical and driving impressions

 

This is our first experience with the Nissan Murano. Although highly rated by the magazines, we have never had the opportunity to drive this offering previously. We came away impressed by this small SUV's composure during our 200 mile test loop.

 

Our test drive was uneventful, with the Murano showing poise and confidence under a variety of road conditions which included heavy rain. Acceleration, braking and general road manners were all first rate. Our female staffer enjoyed the cars dimensions, which made it easy to get into tight parking spots, but still large enough for a family. Excellent observed fuel ecomomy with more efficient 2wd. Frankly, we never felt like we missed the AWD version.

 

We generally try to keep our exclamations about a particular car in check. However, the feel of this particular example compares to cars we have driven with half the miles and years newer. We can only surmise that the previous owner was fanatical about this car's care. There is absolutely nothing hinting that the next owner will have any near term issues or concerns--especially with Nissan's high reliability ratings. Grade A

 

Cosmetic Impressions

 

Put this example next to a 20K mile 2011 and compare them. We dare you to see a difference. No door dings, scratches, or paint chips of any significance. Overall paint looks super fresh and shiny. Interior is equally nice, with no signs of excessive wear or abuse. Smells clean as a whistle with no odors or smells. Seats, door panels, head liner, carpets, console and dash all look like new. Considering the age and miles, we doubt there is a comparable car available for the price. Simply terrific. Grade A.

 

Market Report


We sampled several franchised Nissan dealers, Car Max, and local sources. Once again, the condition of this particular car was its most outstanding feature. Highway miles and solid options were also pluses. Asking prices ranged from $13-17K, but we feel this car is worthy of the top end of the scale.
