• Zero(0) Feedback or Newly Registered Bidders must contact us and be approved prior to bidding. Just email us with a contact number that you can be reached at to let us know that you are a serious bidder. Failure to do so will result in bid cancellation and or your bid being blocked.

• We also reserve the right to cancel bids for excessive bid retractions and or negative feedback. We do this in order to be fair to serious bidders.

• Out of respect for all bidders, we do not disclose the reserve prices on our auctions. Accordingly, please do not ask for the reserve price, as we will not respond.

• A $500.00 non-refundable earnest money deposit must be made immediately unless other arrangements are made prior to auction end. Because they are also for sale at our dealership, some vehicles may not last the entire length of the auction. We also reserve the right to cancel bids for excessive negative feedback or for zero / limited feedback. The following terms of sale apply to all of our listings:

Odometer Readings: Due to demo test-drives and mechanical inspections, the mileage on vehicles represented might be slightly different than the mileage stated when the vehicle was first listed on eBay.

Bidding: Your bid constitutes a legally binding contract to purchase this vehicle. Please do not bid if you are not financially able or serious about purchasing this vehicle. Please consult eBay’s “User Agreement”.

Bidder’s Age: You must be 18 years of age or older to bid.

Buyer’s Inspection: We do our best to disclose all information known about the vehicle for auction. Bergey’s Ford Inc. welcomes a buyer’s inspection. If you plan to have a buyer’s inspection, please make sure you have the vehicle inspected prior to the end of the auction. Inspection fees, if any, are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

PA buyers pay 6% sales tax, except in Philadelphia (8%) and Allegheny (7%) counties. Pennsylvania buyers are also responsible for PA title, registration, tag, lien, and/or transfer fees as applicable. Out of state buyers who are financing through us, or with a third party will be charged and responsible for applicable taxes and registration fees in your state, county and/or city. Out of state buyers who are not financing will receive the title for the vehicle they purchased via overnight carrier once the funds have cleared. A $120.00 documentation fee is charged to every purchase. All buyers are required to have valid state issued identification from the state in which they wish to register their motor vehicle. Title Information: Vehicle titles for auction vehicles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans. In many cases there is a delay in receiving the original title of up to 21 days from the time we pay a vehicle off. While we generally have all titles in our possession at closing, there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive.

Finalizing Your Purchase: The winning bidder MUST contact Bergey’s Ford within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment and delivery at that time. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit must be arranged within 24 hours of auction end, as well. If contact is not made within 24 hours of auction end, we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next highest bidder, or sell it otherwise. All non-paying high bidders will be reported to eBay, and negative feedback will be posted. The balance is due within five (5) days of auction end unless arrangements have been approved by us prior to auction ending. Acceptable forms of payment are: cash (in person), bank wire transfer, cashier’s check, loan check, or financing arranged by our dealership. All funds must clear our account prior to item being released or shipped. Furthermore, before said item is released for pick-up or shipment to buyer, all other sale-related paperwork must be signed and returned complete to seller.

Item Delivery: The buyer is solely responsible for pickup or shipment. Please call us PRIOR to making your arrangements to pick up your item, so we may schedule a mutually agreeable time and date with you. If you are flying into our area to pick up your item, we may be able to provide transportation from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to our dealership, but only if prior arrangements are made.

Shipping: Shipping costs are solely the buyer’s responsibility. If you wish to have your item shipped, please call us first! We will be happy to assist the buyer in arranging shipment with one of our preferred shippers. If you are financing through one of our lenders or with a third party and not coming into our dealership, you will be required to sign your paperwork in front of a notary in your area in order to verify your identity. Notary fees charged by notaries outside our dealership are the responsibility of the buyer.
