The Plymouth Fury is model of automobile which was produced by the Plymouth division of the Chrysler Corporation from 1956 to 1978. The Fury was introduced as a premium-priced model designed to showcase the line, with the intent to draw consumers into showrooms. In 1959, Plymouth introduced the Sport Fury as its top model and the Fury as its second from the top model to replace the Plymouth Belvedere at the top of the regular Plymouth line-up. In doing so, the Fury range now contained sedans and station wagons as well as a hardtop coupe and sedan, while the Sport Fury series had only a 2-door hardtop and convertible. The Sport Fury was dropped at the end of 1959, but was reintroduced in mid-1962. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present the handsome 1959 Plymouth Fury you see pictured. This particular Fury is equipped with an 8 cylinder engine, power steering and comes to us from the dry state of Nevada! This model of Fury was made famous by Stephen King’s iconic cult horror flick “Christine.” Finished in a shade of Mint Green with a white hard top, this Fury shows well, however, it does have some minor imperfections to the paint such as rock chips. The body has the long lines and fins that vehicles from the 1950s era are famous for. The body is solid and straight as an arrow. The chrome shines bright however; there are some scratches, minor pitting and a dent in the trim lining the hood. There is also a missing piece of decorative trim on the passenger side door. As mentioned before, this Fury shows well and is a wonderful driver, that won’t need much to be a show car! Inside, you find that the interior matches the exterior. The seats are wrapped in two tone green and white vinyl that is great condition, showing no signs of major wear. The door panels are also finished in two tone green and white and look just as good as the seats. The headliner is finished in white and shows well. The green carpet is in great condition, as well as the green dash. The dashboard houses a set of original gauges that look great. Under the hood, you will find a 318 cubic inch V8. Attached to the engine is an automatic transmission. The Fury sits upon a set of 14” steel wheels with polished hubcaps that are wrapped in G78-14 white wall tires that complement the Mint Green paint. As mentioned before, this Fury could be driven as is or be an excellent candidate for a restoration. The VIN is M263112073 and the mileage currently shows 89,586. This car is being sold on a clean & clear Nevada title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
