Where many people would simply take their car to a mechanic and body shop, Edmund decided to take matters into his own hands … literally. In 2008, Edmund bought an all-original ’66 Chevrolet Corvette — his plan was to make his dream car. More than 2,500 hours of labor and 4 1/2 years later, Edmund finished his Victory Red Corvette in October of 2012. Edmund said he envisioned a ’66 Corvette built as if plants in 1966 had today’s technology. This is the epitome of a custom car. MotoeXotica Classic Cars proudly presents this custom Chevy Corvette on a straight 1966 body. The frame is an SRIII Motorsports black powdercoat custom ’66 Corvette frame with C5/C4 suspension and QA1 coil-over shocks and springs. Edmund worked tirelessly on 35 custom molds just for the interior. Extensive receipts document how much time and money Edmund put into this dream car. The steering column is manual telescopic. The gauges are all Auto Meter Carbon Fiber Ultra Lite series. They measure water temperature, oil pressure, RPM, speedometer, voltage and fuel capacity. The air system is a vintage Corevette Generation II mini. There are power windows, power steering, power breaks and booster. The seats are simulated leather and saddle color by JSE Coachworks. The entire interior is an exact replica of a 2004 Corvette. The exterior is a brilliant Victory Red painted by Bloomington Gold Certified customer car painter Thorpes Body & Corvette Shop. Victory Red is a correct Corvette color which debuted in 2005. The body is a straight ’66 Corvette, and the photos by Edmund (included with the vehicle) detail the restoration and customization from start to finish. This car sits on 18x8 Billet wheels, and it also has a 3.5-inch quadripower exhaust system. This little red Corvette has 3.54 rear end gears. The gas tank is all aluminum with electric sender. Edmund spent nearly 60 hours just on wiring on this custom coupe. A tan vinyl soft top and blue hard top are included. Under the custom Stingray hood, this Corvette has modern-day power. This Corvette possesses a GM performance LS3, 6.2 L E-rod crate engine. A lovely DeWitts radiator compliments this newer engine. The standard transmission is a Tremec GM TKO-600. We could write for days on how much detail and passion went into this custom Corvette. Check out the photos to help tell more of a visual story. All of Edmund’s documentation is included with this vehicle. This is truly a one-of-a-kind Corvette available now at MotoeXotica. Save the wave in this dream car as its new owner. GET OUT AND DRIVE!
