Now, the radical open wheel wells are fully visible. The exposed suspension components are reminiscent of the crazy rods and customs you see at car shows across the country. The Prowler has a leg up on the originals because it offers no compromises. It rides like a modern car. It handles like a modern car. It has AC, a radio with a 6-disc CD changer, leather seats, full digital gauges, a 4 speed auto-stick transmission, and more. This isn’t your father’s hot rod; this is your next street car. 

With just over 12,000 miles on the odometer, this Prowler is barely broken in. You’ll have many more years of motoring enjoyment behind  the wheel of this retro convertible. Powered by a smooth 253 horsepower 3.5 liter V6, the Prowler completes the sprint from 0-60 mph in just 5.9 seconds. The Prowler’s transmission is directly connected to the rear wheels, just like a Corvette. This modification helps it achieve a perfect 50/50 weight distribution – an area where many cars, especially convertibles, tend to fall short. 

The top operates easily and quickly. Pop the rear opening, undo two latches, and it folds neatly beneath the decklid. The Prowler stunning to look at either way, but we feel like topless is definitely the way to go with this car. You’ll be amazed at all the attention it will garner from onlookers and fellow drivers. With its two-tone black and silver custom paint job, complete with custom pinstriping, it’s no wonder: this car looks good even standing still.
