1926 Buick McLaughlin Street Rod Vin: 104146 - Special one-of-a-kind custom street rod - Jaguar V-12 running gear - Buick Canadian model McLaughlin - Stromberg Side Draft Carburetors - 3-speed automatic transmission - Jaguar independent rear suspension with coil-overs MotoeXotica Classic Cars is very pleased offer this one of a kind freshly built 1926 Buick McLaughlin Street Rod you see pictured. This hot rod is a fine example of what happens when expert craftsmanship and immense imagination and creativity meet! The car is a totally bad ass monster with the massive Jaguar V12 powerhouse! This particular model car is rarely seen as it was a Canadian built car. This is a very high quality built street rod that is guaranteed to turn heads and stop traffic, no matter where it may go! This street rod is completely custom; this is a completely custom built chassis! There is not a single car out there like this one! All of the wood that was originally on the vehicle has been removed and replaced with metal. The top has been chopped 5 inches. The body is straight as an arrow and solid. The body has been painted with satin tan paint and it looks great and complemented by custom hand painted pin stripping. The roof has been finished with matching vinyl and is a very subtle accent to the exterior but looks excellent! There are custom taillights and tinted windows to set the exterior off just right. Inside, you’ll find completely custom Pontiac seats with speakers built into the headrests. The seats are finished in two-tone tan and orange vinyl and are in great shape with the exception of very minor wear on the outer driver’s side bolster. There is no back seat in this car, as the car has been chopped. However the backseat is finished with carpet. The door panels match the seats and look great as well! The tan headliner and carpet are both in excellent condition. The dashboard houses a set of Jaguar gauges that look awesome. There is also a center console that houses the floor shifter and emergency brake but also has two cup holders … which is a little out of the ordinary in a completely custom, completely rare build! The wooden steering wheel gives a little more of the old school Jaguar touch in this Canadian custom and looks great. You will very quickly see that this is no average street rod – this McLaughlin is powered by a Jaguar 5.3L V12 and running gear, complete with side draft carburetors and custom exhaust. The car not only sounds great but it also drives excellent! Attached to the V12 is a 3-speed automatic transmission. The front brakes are the Buick finned brakes and the rear are Jaguar E-Type inboard brakes. The Buick sits on front suicide suspension, 5 inch dropped front axle and Jaguar E-Type independent rear suspension, which looks excellent with its chromed coil-overs that are easily seen from behind the car. It sits on 15” chrome wire wheels wrapped in new P205/75R15 tires in the front and new P235/75R15 in the rear. This is a very special, one of a kind street rod that you will never find anywhere else! This car would be an awesome addition to any unique car collection or just a cool car to cruise around in! The VIN is 104146 and the mileage currently shows 80,412. It is being sold on a clean and clear title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! Driving Impressions: "Today at MotoeXotica we have a truly unique custom built street rod and we can honestly say that we have never seen anything like it! We start off this build with a very rare, Canadian only, Buick model McLaughlin and then hybrid mix it with the best vintage running gear the British has to offer, the Jaguar E-Type V12! Some may say that this type of hybrid building is sacrilegious but if you know your Buick history then you may have knowledge that Buick has had relationships with the British car manufactures in the past proving that this is a unique but fitting hybrid build. Personally I have climbed into many custom street rods over the years and immediately one thing that stands out with this particular street rod is when you fire the ignition… I was expecting the usual rumble of Detroit iron but instead the cabin was filled with that wonderful but never duplicated hum of that Jaguar V12 engine. It is true music to the ears and pure automotive bliss! Driving the street rod to the location for photographs it really drives absolutely amazing and if you have ever had the pleasure to drive a Series lll Jaguar E-Type you will instantly feel the similarities and will appreciate this awesome custom hot rod Jaguar!"
