Up for sale we have a very nice 1969 Pontiac Firebird TransAm Frame off recreation. This was the first year for the Trans Am with it being a performance package. In ’69 it was a very limited production. The one we have for you is a recreation but is a very nice frame off car. In the paragraphs to follow I will give you a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the ’69, but first I would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Firebird. This is a frame off restoration. The body was stripped to the metal, primed, and blocked until it was better than new. It is covered in Cameo Ivory paint that is accented by the Blue Stripes that is all laid under the Clear Coat. This entire body has been buffed and polished to a mirror finish. All the bumpers as well as other chrome were replaced at the time of restoration and is in good condition. The weather stripping was also replaced. All the stainless was removed, cleaned, and polished. The best we can tell this has the correct Spoiler hood and side vents. The final exterior touch is the set of factory Rally Wheels and White letter tires.

Next, we will move on to the interior of the ’69. It is done in the Factory white that provides a killer scheme inside and out. This jewel comes with the correct bucket seats and console. The seats, door panels, and headliner are all white with the carpet and console being done in black. Everything inside this T/A works, even the dome lite and horn. The only thing that doesn’t look correct is a set of after market gauges.

Finally, we will move to the drive line of the Trans Am. When you look under the hood it all looks correct and is very neat and clean. It has a 400 CI V8 that is mated to a 400 turbo trans. It has the factory chrome valve covers as well as breather. The exhaust was upgraded to a Flow Master system. Also it has Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes. When you look under this T/A it’s as good as any we have seen. The floor pans appear to be solid with no signs of rust or rot. All the Sub Frame and Frame rails also look great.
