When the car was built, Ike was president, the economy was climbing upward, jobs were abundant, rock `n' roll was dominating the airwaves, and the "rocket age" was in full swing with the launch of Sputnik. The Virgil Exner “forward look” with big fins (like an F102 Delta Dagger) was the height of style and two-tone paint was in vogue.

Our car has had one good repaint in its original two-tone green. The matching vinyl interior is in good condition, although the carpets have faded. The 325 cubic  inch  Polyhead V8, rated at 265 hp with four barrel carb, starts right up and runs well with a new water pump. The 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission shifts at the push of a button. The body is solid and straight. The underbody appears sound.

This maintained survivor car would be easy to restore. Everything, (body, glass, chrome and drive train) is intact and unmolested. Only an underbody detail, fresh carpet, and some rubber gaskets are needed. When that is done give the car a polish and be show ready. We invite you to inspect this rare car at our store in Stuart.
