This car is a rare 1964 Sport Fury considered one of the most beautiful designs Plymouth ever had. The car offered here has been a labor of love for a number years. This was a straight rust free California black plated car. The car had approximately 84,000 miles when the restoration was started. There are many serious upgrades and performance enhancements. The body was stripped and painted 1964 ruby red and fitted with a functional hood scoop from a 1965 Hemi powered car. All chrome and stainless was refinished and numerous pieces were were located and replaced. All window moldings and felt replaced and a new windshield installed. The interior was fully restored to factory specs using Legendary upholstery products. The dash is a new factory correct one year only design and all instruments are also factory correct. The original clock was replaced with an after market Tachometer that matches, perfectly, the other gauges. The floor is completely Dyna matted. The headliner is new and the driver’s side visor is autographed by Ricard Petty. The steering wheel is a leather covered custom design. The original steering wheel has been completely restored and is in a plexy glass display case. This will go with the car. (See Photo) I installed an all new radio system with 6 speakers and a power antenna at a cost of $1600.00 alone. It sounds and plays marvelous. The interior of this car is completely new, factory original, professionally installed and beautifully done. All electrical items work perfectly and function as per factory specs, including heater and defroster.  The battery is trunk mounted.  I can't think of anything left to be done.

The original owner built the car with the potential upgrade to Hemi-power. The bell housing and everything under the hood was designed to receive a 426 with a minimum of work. The drive train was custom installed with Keisler Engineering TKO-600 5 speed transmission. Has heavy duty hydraulic clutch rated up to 650 HP. New custom chromoly drive shaft with Dana 60 rear end with 3:73 gears.

The car sits on 16” Cragar wheels with BF Goodrich tires. The suspension is heavy duty and completely redone and is tight and taught. It is equipped with power 4 wheel disk brakes. I purchased the car approximately 4 years ago partially done. The running gear had about 1500 miles on it at that time. I have since worked extensively completing the restoration and have driven the car less than 3000 miles. I have all the side moldings and trim for this car. They have been polished and restored , are beautiful and extremely hard to find.   I also have the 4 very nice original Sport Fury hub caps and I have many many extra parts for this car that I have accumulated over time. I even have a like new left front fender I picked up just in case.

I easily have well over $40,000 in this car and will sell it for $25,000. There is not a better buy than this very nice 1964 Sport Fury. The car is located in San Jose California.
