 Description

THE STORY: THIS CAR WAS USED AS A DEMO AT OUR OLD LOCATION BECUASE OF THE EXCELLENT FUEL ECONOMY. WE GOT IT FROM A LOCAL FORD STORE WITH A 143K MILES. IN THE TIME WE HAD IT, WE CHANGED THE OIL ON TIME , HAD A NEW CLUTCH INSTALLED, AND NEW BRAKES.

 

You are
looking at a 2001 Volkswagen Golf TDI . It is powered
with a 1.9L I-4 Diesel and and 5 speed manual transmission. It is equipped with power locks,Sony am/fm/cd player, and cruise control. Also included
is one keyless remote and the owner's manuals.

 

The interior of this car is in good shape. The seats have normal wear and maybe a spot here and there. Also the same with the carpet. The only things I noticed were a couple cracks in the plastic console and the little compartments lids are missing on the console.Also the drivers seat has a little slack .

 

The exterior of the car is in good shape. There are some normal defects associated with age and mileage( paint chips, a scratch, or a door ding). The windshield is in good shape.

 

Mechanically this TDI starts right up and runs great.It takes a few extra seconds starting time in the morning ( I think the battery is a little weak). There are no service lights on. The transmission and clutch shifts smooth ( just installed a new clutch). The a/c blows cold .The front end appears
tight. The front tires are good, but the back tires are weak.

 

Note: The Carfax is clean and states no accidents, but I do see some color variation on the front clip area. So assume previous paintwork from some time ago.

 

Our opinion: This has been a great car.It gets incredible fuel economy. I do not know when the timing belt was last changed so I would have it inspected.
