Vehicle Description

This 1974 Porsche 914 2.o is offered for sale after an 8 month cosmetic restoration that included a full exterior paint job in it's original sunflower yellow paint color (L13k color code), exterior rubber seals replaced (including all weather seals to the removable top), and the vinyl panels on the roll bars were replaced with originals.

The paint job was done to a high standard and involved "detrimming" the car (removing doors, trunk, hood, all molding and bumpers) before the paint was sprayed on the car. This particular Porsche is a rust free example with no previous damage (verified when the original paint was removed for restoration) that was purchased new and stored in California until 2008 when it was then purchased from the estate of the original owner by the second owner who had it transported to North Carolina and stored until 2012 with very little use.

The current mileage of 52k miles is believed to be original based on condition. This 914 has the original "matching numbers" 2 liter engine and transmission when it left the factory and the original fuel injection system is fitted to it. This is rare as as most examples had carburetors installed by speed shops in the late 70's and 80's due to simplicity in tuning for performance.

This Porsche 914 is equipped with the ultra rare Porsch dealer installed A/C that was installed when it arrived from the factory to the dealership in 1974. The A/C system does not currently blow cold but the compressor turns freely, not seized up up and should be brought cold again by any reputable Porsche mechanic. A geniune Porsche Certificate of Authenticity will accompany this 914 which verifies all original specifications and engine/transmission numbers as it left the factory.
