1996 Ferrari F355 Spider

We are proud to present this absolutely stunning 1996 Ferrari F355 Spider. In the beautiful colors of Giallo Modena over Black, this F355 is a gated manual 6-speed Spider with only 26,900 miles.

However, this is not your everyday 355 Spider. The previous owner of this car dropped it off at an authorized Ferrari dealer in the summer of 2012, handed over the keys and a blank check, and said "make it perfect". $71,000 later (no, that is not a misprint), the car is essentially that: perfect.

For example, the front of the car had a few rock chips, as all cars do. The owner had the _entire car_ stripped down to primer and repainted by the dealer. (And, yes, we have confirmed with the Ferrari dealer that there was no "covered up" accident damage.) The dashboard had the ubiquitous shrinking leather, so the entire dash was recovered in new leather. All sticky plastic parts in the interior, another 355 problem, were either refinished or replaced. The entire top was replaced, and all top hydraulic systems and ECUs were either refurbished or replaced. A full engine-out major service was performed, a full leakdown test was performed to verify condition of the engine, and a Tubi exhaust with ceramic headers was installed. Finally, new Michelin Super Sport tires were installed, as well as new brakes at all four corners.

(You may ask, why did the previous owner sell the car after spending an exorbitant amount of money on it? Well, these cars are toys, and he just moved on to the next toy. Simple as that.)

Hopefully you understand now why this is not your average 355. I have driven this car, and it is amazing. The combination of the Tubi exhaust and the headers amplify the classic and imitable 355 "ripping silk" sound, which just gets louder and more intense as the engine pulls to redline. The steering is tight and straight, handling is perfect, and the gearshift has the traditional "clank" of a Ferrari gate with no baulkiness through the gears.

Terms and Conditions

By placing a bid on this vehicle, you are entering into a legal and binding contract to purchase this vehicle. If you are unsure about anything in the listing, please ask us. Do not assume anything not listed is included in the sale price. We reserve the right to cancel bids based on excessive negative feedback. A $50 documentation fee will be collected on all purchases.

The winning bidder must contact us within 48 hours of the auction end, and must make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500 deposit is due using PayPal within 48 hours of the end of the auction. The remainder of the balance is due within 7 days of the auction end. If no contact is made within 48 hours of the auction end, we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next highest bidder, or sell in another venue.

The buyer is responsible for pickup and/or shipping of this vehicle. Shipping costs are not included in the selling price of the vehicle.
