Vehicle Description

ONE OWNER – Flawless paint, body and interior.  This SLK55 Has ALL the options including a few that weren’t on the original option list.  (Built in Radar Detector)  There isn’t a scratch on this car and the interior shows NO wear.  Price includes two sets of keys, all the manuals and a Brand New set of Z rated Michelin Tires installed on August 26th of this year.  Of all the sports cars I’ve had the privilege to drive, the SLK55 AMG is by far the most fun and entertaining of all.  Eye popping looks and performance that makes you go “Wow!!!”

EBay - Please note that this listing may be ended early without notice if sold on our retail Lot.  Reserve Price is set at $28,500 and you can buy now for $30,000.  Please read this entire description as ALL vehicles sold out of state will be sold AS-IS.  Independent inspections can be arranged easily and are highly encouraged.

The SLK55 AMG adds a beastly V8 and the usual array of AMG-tuned items (V8 engine, brakes, suspension, exhaust, transmission, styling) plus a sport steering wheel, upgraded leather upholstery, heated seats and the Premium I package.  The premium package ($1,200) includes dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic dimming mirrors, variable-rate power steering and an infrared remote that operates the roof. The heating package ($960) adds heated seats and forced-air vents in the headrests. The lighting package ($990) includes headlight washers and bi-xenon headlights with a beam that turns with the direction of the car for better illumination around corners. The entertainment/navigation package ($2,900) adds a stereo upgrade, six-disc CD changer and DVD-based navigation system with integrated video-screen controls.

the SLK55 AMG is hard for car lovers to pass up -- it's almost a modern-day Shelby Cobra, albeit with a thick layer of luxury slathered on top. The formula is virtually the same: Start with a capable compact roadster, stuff it to the gills with a giant V8, sharpen the suspension and proceed to stun people at traffic lights when you tear off down the road in a cloud of tire smoke.  How much fun?  Consider this exert from Car and Driver.

The previous-generation car, the SLK32 AMG, had a supercharged and intercooled 3.2-liter V-6 putting down 349 horsepower and 322 pound-feet of torque. The last one we tested ["Topless Toys," C/D, August 2001] weighed 3265 pounds, scampered to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, and crossed the quarter-mile in 13.0 seconds at 110 mph. Now, the SLK55's 24-valve, 5.4-liter naturally aspirated V-8 cranks out just six more horsepower-but an additional 54 pound-feet of torque. Still, the new car's weight is up 190 pounds to 3455, so the power-to-weight ratio has worsened slightly.  Despite this fact, the SLK55 out accelerates its predecessor, ripping to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and clearing the quarter in the 12s-precisely, 12.7 seconds at 111 mph-largely because of improved gearing, not just power. Still not convinced? How about this: The 400-hp Corvette in a recent comparo ["It's-All-About-Me Roadsters," C/D, March 2005] outguns this SLK55 by 45 horsepower and 24 pound-feet of torque, and weighs 155 fewer pounds. Yet the Vette ties the SLK at 4.3 seconds to 60 mph and loses the quarter-mile race by a 10th, 12.8 versus 12.7 seconds. And that was a six-speed manual Corvette, not the wimpy four-speed automatic. Or consider this: The SLK55 matches its big brother E55 from 0 to 60 mph-despite the E55's 469 supercharged horsepower propelling fewer pounds per pony-and is just 0.2 second slower through the quarter-mile.

This is by far the ultimate commuter car.  Over 20 mpg on the highway and that’s not taking it easy but having fun.  The accident on the carfax report was to the front driver’s fender and door.  It has been professionally repaired by a craftsman and there is absolutely no evidence of it.  By far the best paint and body work I’ve seen in ten years.

Accident on Carfax was a PT Cruiser that hit the driver's door.  The door has been replaced and the paintwork is flawless.  Feel free to call if you have any questions.
