"The 1965 Corvette was the third production year of the "C2 Corvettes" 1963-1967 Midyear generation. Production continued to grow over the previous years for the 10 consecutive model year with 23,562 corvettes built: 8,186 Corvette Coupes and 15,376 Corvette Convertibles. Original pricing for the 1965 Corvette Coupe was $4,321. The 1965 Corvette Convertible was for sale priced slightly lower at $4,106.The 1965 Corvette was the last year for fuel injection until 1982 and was the first year for the big block - a 396 ci featuring 425 hp. The 1965 Corvette also featured 5 verisons of its 327 cubic inch engines. There were six engines available for the 1965 Corvette."

According to the current owner of 14 years, this Corvette (originally from Colorado) was profesionally body off restored in the early 90's and has been driven only 7,465 miles since completion. It is a faily rare car, as only 5,011 were built with this engine and transmission combination. The engine is a numbers matching 327/365 HP with the vin number stamped on the engine pad. The transmission is a 4-speed manual and the rear has a 411 gear with positraction. Only a few options were ordered, AM/FM radio and telescopic steering wheel. The wheel covers are reproductions knock offs and it does not have power steering, power brakes or the hardtop. This car runs, sounds and looks terrific and is now ready for a new owner.

Included in the sale will be a few pictures of the car during restoration, an appraisal from 1991, 4 original wheels, the original owners packet and a copy of the Colorado title.

Please remember that this car is 48 years old and not perfect. The paint has a few very small stone chips not seen in the photos and the drivers side headlight dood sticks.
