This is a used consigned vehicle purchased used in 2005, well cared for and well maintained by the current owner as one of a few cars owned. This is the current 3rd owner of this vehicle. It is being sold since it's rarely driven except for occasional pleasure (about 3000 miles since purchased), although started regularly. It has been garage kept since owned and is in exceptional and clean shape having had many new replacements since purchased (please see details below). Title is clear.
Currently, this vehicle is offered for sale only on eBay at NO RESERVE and listing will not be withdrawn after receiving a bid, until sold to the high bidder. Start bid is well below blue book so to ensure a good chance for sale.
This car is a beauty. It will be a great deal to the winner - lots of life left in this classic Porsche.
The exterior is in very good condition overall, a few nicks up front on the paint (shows in photos as white flecks), some crackling of the coatings forward of rear wheel wells, and one visible dent above rear bumper (see photos). Otherwise in fine shape, shiny, and clean. Color is a slightly gun-metal bluish silver. The convertible top is in very good condition, minimal wear to the canvas, and only slight fogging of rear plastic still supple. Top operates electrically via center console button with key 'on' in first position, and lowers quickly and raises smoothly, released and secured by use of t-wrenches above the front visor, supplied.
NOTE: Owner obtained a new top in 2008, but never installed it. It is included with the car. We show the box in photos toward the end (didn't want to remove it).
Also note some minor surface scratching of finish on trunk lid, and here and there on the body. We note wear off of paint on each of the side window front frames (shown).
These are surface and minor cosmetic issues that are visible on close inspection, but as you may note, are not easily noticeable from a distance (except fender damage described) and do not detract from the overall lines and appearance of the car.
The interior is in very good and clean condition, some soiling in deep recesses in back seat. Medium Gray in color, with leather front and rear seats in very good shape with only one small cracking patch at the driver's side upper left shoulder where it has separated from back element of seat. No rips or tears otherwise. The rear seats appear rarely if ever used and would be a tight squeeze for an adult or larger adolescent. Carpeting (black) is in Very good overall shape for a vehicle of this age, and comes with front carpet Porsche floor mats in very good condition. No major scrapes or marks on the door panels or interior paneling and trim. Inside top is not padded, but in very good condition. No evidence of leaking visible - doesn't leak per owner statement.
Trunk is in good shape, however some significant carpet wear on extreme rear at left when facing trunk. Spare is intact, with all tools and jack, and shows no evidence of use. May need air.
Seller notes the Air Conditioning does not work. Blower works, no cooling. Suspect compressor issue. All other buttons, knobs, dials, switches and gauges work fine.
Engine and transmission is mechanically sound, starts right up, runs smoothly and drives very well. Vehicle was fully serviced in March 2013, and has many new components. 5-speed manual transmission with smoothly operating clutch and floor console shifter. 16 Valve 4 Cylinder Engine in sound mechanical condition develops 205 HP by spec - drive belt in very good condition. Brakes are good, and rotors have good wear left. Tires show excellent tread wear left as can be seen.
Undercarriage is free of major rust and clean. Muffler and Cat Converter in good condition.
