This is the 7th SSR ever built. To commemorate the launch of the SSR, Chevy created the SSR Signature Series. Both a marketing program and an exclusive Chevrolet product offering, the Signature Series is comprised of the first 25 SSRs built. They feature content not available on any other SSR. In addition to their unique Ultra Violet color (later to become a publicly available, one year only paint choice in model year 2004), each vehicle is adorned with Signature Series badging, including a special badge on the "waterfall" interior panel that carries the engraved signatures of two or more team members who were instrumental in the development of the SSR program. These individuals include designers, marketers and engineers, as well as UAW members who actually had a hand in building the SSR. The Signatures carry VINs ending in 000001 through 000025. During their use, Chevrolet collected memorabilia, photographs, autographs, news coverage and other keepsakes that documented the vehicle’s use. These collectibles helped create a history specific to each Signature Series SSR, and were placed in a special scrapbook and custom-designed metal “pedigree” box that was provided with the vehicle when it was ultimately purchased at GM sponsored auctions. One Signature Series SSR (#6 - #10) was dedicated to each of Chevrolet's five U.S. marketing regions. An artist was selected from four cities within each region to create and original work (i.e. watercolors, oil paintings, pen and ink, etc.) depicting the SSR against a backdrop of America - its geography, landmarks, people and culture. The artists and their finished work appeared at a variety of events within the region, with a public exhibition of all 20 pieces at a special gallery-style showing upon completion of the program. This one, #7 is representative of the South Central Region. The documentation and ephemera with this SSR is unusually complete. Usually a lot of the items go missing, but this one has EVERYTHING! We have the 4 original pieces of art, the scrapbook, the pewter statue, the letters from GM & the window sticker. This SSR is like the day it was built. It has no dents, no dings, no scratches and no paintwork. No curb rash on any of the wheels. 4 matching Goodyear Eagles w/lots of tread. We have both remotes & all the books. The interior is just as nice. Non-smoker, very nice fit and finish. Everything works on it and it’s truly a no-issue vehicle.
