1969 Camaro SS Convertible

350/4-Speed!

"The 1969 Camaro carried over the previous year's drive train and major mechanical components, but all-new sheet metal, except the hood and trunk lid, gave the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with a heavy "V" cant and deeply inset headlights. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider, more aggressive look. This styling would serve for the 1969 model year only. Collectors often debate the merits of smooth, rounded lines of 1967 and 1968 model versus the heavily creased and sportier looks of the 1969, but the '69 remains the most sought after."

According to the current owner, this example was treated to a body on restoration completed in the late 90's with some recent upgrades added in the last few years.  Please let all the pictures load (there are over 140) to see the great condition of this classic Chevy muscle car.  We don't know everything that was done over the years, the following is what we do know.  The engine is a non original 1969 Chevy 350 small block, bored to 355 with a mild cam added for performance.  The transmission is a Muncie 4-speed manual and it has a 10 bolt rear, non positraction. It has power steering, power front disc brakes and an aftermarket stereo C/D.  All the exterior chrome and trim has either been replaced or replated to new condition and the undercarriage is solid, clean and dry. The interior was redone with new seat covers, door panels and carpeting. Installed within the last few years were new belts, hoses, carburetor, fuel pump and electronic ignition. Not a #1 trailer queen, but a very nice local car show winner. The car rides, handles, sounds and looks terrific and is ready for a new owner.

Please remember that this car is 44 years old and not perfect. The clock, fuel gage and wipers are inoperable. The power top does work, but the switch is disconnected and the paint has a few very minor imperfections too small to see in the photos.
