The Corvette Nomad was a 1954 proto-type that debuted at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City for General Motors Motorama. It has been called the WALDORF ever since. It was such a huge success that some of the unique features were applied to a Chevrolet Belair two-door station wagon and it was put into production as a Nomad in 1955. All of the 8,530 bodies were made at the Cleveland plant and shipped to the Flint, Baltimore, St. Louis, Los Angeles, Jamestown, Tarrytown, Atlanta, Kansas City, Oakland, Willow Run, and Norwood plants to be assembled.

The 1957 models received no special trim. All interior and exterior trim are interchangeable with other Bel Air models. Even though there were fewer 1957 Nomads produced, and it had no special trim, it is arguably the most popular with collectors today. Of the 6,534 Nomads produced in 1957, this car is one of the finest in existence today. With a correct, OEM interior recently installed, A/C, power steering, power disc brakes, new glass and 350 V8 engine the car is a joy to drive.

This car resided with its previous owner in Southern Oklahoma since 1978. This car has always lived in dry Southern Oklahoma! This car is turn-key and is ready to be driven anywhere your heart desires. This is one spectacular Chevy!

Finished in the factory two tone Matador Red with an Imperial white top, this Nomad still hangs on to its correct stock exterior trim from 1957 which looks great. The body is very straight and sound. The paint is in very good shape with only minor imperfections such as very small rock chips. The paint shines like the day it was completed!! Just like in the fashion of the 50s, there is no shortage of chrome on this ’57. The chrome looks great and only has minor imperfections such as very minor pitting above the rear tail lights and the passenger door handle. The front and rear bumper appear to be brand new and look excellent.

Inside, you will find that the interior looks nearly impeccable. Finished in the factory two tone red vinyl with black & red cloth, the seats show no signs of wear and have recently been restored. To add just a touch of timeless, the seats have silver buttons on them that compliment the car great. The door panels, headliner and carpet are all in awesome shape as well. The carpet is black and the door panels match the seats while the headliner is red. The dash board has been brought back to life and looks great with original gauges. Currently, the temperature gauge is not working and the speedometer needs a cable. It also has an original AM radio and the rarely seen factory power windows and power seat – as verified by the body plate on the firewall.

Under the hood, you will find an extremely clean 327 cubic inch V8 engine, complete with a 4 barrel carburetor, that not only looks great in between the engine bay walls, but sounds excellent. Attached is a 4-speed manual transmission that is shifted through a Hurst shifter on the floor. The Nomad sits upon a set of 14” color match steel wheels with Chevrolet hubcaps wrapped in 7.50-14 white wall tires that really set off the exterior of the car.

The VIN to this 1957 Nomad is VC57L170734 and the current mileage shows 6,899. The car is being sold on a clean and clear title.

Buyer and Seller hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts of Missouri to specifically enforce the agreement to arbitrate and to enter judgment of and enforce the award of the arbitrator. All above terms and conditions are applied to vehicle sales, whether through Ebay or otherwise. Sorry, but in all fairness to the bidding process, I will NOT disclose my reserve price until the auction has ended.

Payment Terms
Payment must be made by Cashiers Check, Money Orders or Wire Transfers payable in US Dollars. A Refundable deposit in the amount of $500.00 must be received within Twenty-Four(24)hours of the auctions close either by Master Card, Visa or PayPal. The buyer has seven(7) days from close of auction to inspect the vehicle. If the vehicle is not to your liking within this seven day inspection period then your deposit will be refunded 100%. If an inspection or decision takes longer then seven days and you find the vehicle not to your liking, your deposit will be forfeited and the car will be relisted. Final payment must be received within ten (10) days of the auction close. The refundable deposit only applies if you or an agent inspect said vehicle in St. Louis and find it not to your liking. I will not be responsible for buyers remorse or problems found to said vehicle once they have left my property. I am just being realistic, most of the cars I deal in are vintage and by their very nature will need TLC and some degree of attention sooner or later. These are not new cars and should not be treated as such. Once full payment has been received, Seller will fax a copy of clear title, Bill of sale, Buyers guide and additional DMV forms to the Buyer to sign and return via fax. The forms must be returned to the Seller prior to the shipment of said vehicle. Original paperwork will be sent to Buyer Via overnight mail seven(7)days from date of final payment. Transportation will commence only after final payment and signed documentation are received. Once a car is picked up from our premises, you will NOT be able to return the car.
