1955 FORD THUNDERBIRD CONVERTIBLE, OVER $50,000 SPENT ON RESTORATION TO ORIGINAL CONDITION!
The retired head of NASA technical shop in Houston conducted the complete body off restoration. The engine was blueprinted with chrome dress up kit for fan, oil bath air cleaner and breather pipe cover, automatic transmission rebuilt, complete wiring harness, new gas tank, original type wide white wall Firestone tires, new original type interior upholstery dash doors and seats. Car has power windows, seats and steering. The hard top has a porthole, which is a 56 top, and the only part, which is not an original 55. Mileage since restoration is less than 1400 miles Currently the car has electric fuel pump in parallel with the mechanical pump to pump the new Edlebrock carburetor up to facilitate easy starting with 8 volt battery. The points have been replaced with electronic unit. Also the manifold with original teapot carburetor is included in sale. No canvas convertible top.
