"Providing instant identification for the 1974 Corvette was a new body-color rear-end treatment made to comply with a new five-mph rear-impact standard. Sheathed in urethane like last year's front-bumper revision, the new ensemble conferred a smoother, more integrated look, and though it tapered downward instead of upward like the previous Kammtype tail, it didn't seem to harm aerodynamics. The bumper was a two-piece affair with a visible seam in the middle of its plastic cover.  The 1974 Corvette defied industry sales trends by selling at or near its best-ever levels at a time when it should have done anything but, given the higher cost of gasoline and insurance, the sagging economy, and emasculated power trains. Sales were up again on the year, hitting 37,502 units."

According to the current owner, this Corvette is a very nice combination of original, with some cosmetic and mechanical improvements as needed.  Please let all the pictures load, (there are over 120) to see the beautiful condition of this classic Chevy!  The odometer shows 66,000 miles and is believed to be correct. Based upon our inspection we would agree, but the car is being sold as exempt because of the age.  The car is mostly original with one very nice repaint.  The interior appears original in very good condition and  the undercarriage is solid, clean and dry.  The car has power steering, power brakes, power windows, air conditioning, tilt steering wheel and t-tops.  Recent mechanical work includes new exhaust front to back, new brakes, belts and hoses, new carburetor, distributor and steering box. The gages, lights, signals, radio, wipers and windows are fully operational and it runs and drives terrific.
