The Chevrolet Bel Air was a full-size automobile that was produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors for the 1950–1975 model years. For 1954, the Bel Air stayed essentially the same from the previous model year with the exception of a revised grille and taillights, a revised engine that had insert bearings and higher oil pressure which was needed for the full-flow oil filtration system that was not available prior to 1954. The 1954 Bel Air you see here is a beautiful car, ready to be driven anywhere your heart desires! This particular car received a body on restoration and has since then been driven everywhere! The current owner states that it has seen Pikes Peak and Gulf Shores! Needless to say, this is one well maintained special Bel Air! The gentleman who owns the car does not know the meaning of trailer queen. This Bel Air was meant to be on the road! The only reason it is up for sale is because his lovely wife cannot drive a manual transmission and they’ve found another nostalgic car, just with an automatic transmission. Finished in teal and white, the body is very straight. The beautiful teal paint is deep and has a beautiful luster to it. We are selling this car for a client of ours who has owned the car since 1985. The car was restored a number of years ago and is showing some age with some bubbles in the paint on the lower rockers and doors. The underside has some rust and repairs but has never kept him from driving or showing the car! The classic white trim on the rear fenders look great and compliment the teal paint very well. The tan canvas power convertible top looks great and shows no notable signs of wear or imperfections on the exterior. The chrome looks excellent and is fitted with all of the stock trim in place. Inside, you will see that the seats are wrapped snug with teal and cream vinyl that look great! The matching door panels and teal carpet all look good with only very subtle and minor staining from years of regular driving. The original dashboard looks great and even has a Chevrolet AM/FM/Cassette Player. The underside of the convertible top is in great shape and only shows minor staining. Under the hood, you will find the 235 cubic inch, 6 cylinder engine. Attached to the engine is a manual transmission. The Bel Air sits upon a set of 15” color matched wheels with the Chevrolet wheel covers wrapped in new 6.70-15 Goodyear white wall tires. There is even a spare tire in the trunk! The Bel Air you see here has only had three owners in its entire 59 year life! It has been with the current owner since 1985, as you can see on the title. The VIN is 0807984F542 and the current mileage shows 39,071. The Bel Air is being sold on a clear Missouri title showing the current owner has had the car since 1985.
