1976 Mercedes 450 SEL

The 1975-1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 was a continuation of the big-engine S-class sedan, now built on the W116 platform introduced for 1973. Considerably changed from its 6.3 predecessor, it featured somewhat lower and sleeker lines that were still distinctly Mercedes.

There is not a lot to say about this one, it is a documented 2 owner car with 61,611 miles. The current owner purchased the car in 1990 with 35,000 miles showing on the odometer. One look and it is obvious that this car has been meticulously maintained.  The body, paint, interior, engine all appear to be original and in excellent condition.  Equipped with power windows, power sunroof, power steering, power brakes, power antenna and AM//FM stereo cassette. The car runs drives and looks terrific and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. The first owner did install headlights from a late 70's model simply because he preferred the clean look.

Included in the sale will be the original window sticker, owners manual and a binder full of receipts for service and maintenance done over the years.

Please remember that this car is 37 years old and not perfect. The interior does show some minor wear and there are a couple of cracks in the dash.
