You are looking at a 1978 Toyota FJ40 land cruiser with the some excellent upgrades, Ice cold vintage A/C, rear seat Colorado heater, power disc brakes, factory four speed transmission, Warn locking hubs, Warn 8274 winch mounted in a powdercoated front bumper. This is the popular body style with the ambulance doors and fold down jump seats. The interior is very clean, the factory headliner is still intact. The paint is approx. 10 years old, it still looks very good however it does have some rock chips and some flaws. The driver door sill panel has some paint chips from getting in and out, the interior doors are chipped from the retractable seat belts making contact. The hinges have some paint chips, check out all the pictures. When you stand back and look at it it looks real good. The ride and drive is excellent, tight steering, new brakes front and rear (we have the receipt). The clutch is strong and the factory four speed transmission shifts smooth, the tranfer case works as it should. Its starts easy with the manual choke, it takes a few miles to warm up. Its drive very good going down the road, no shakes or vibrations. The motor is the factory 6 cylinder with 134,000 miles, the oil has been recently changed, and ther are no significant leaks. The motor runs smooth with good power, it does smoke some when you push it. It might be due some day for some valve guides or rings. Its nothing bad just normal wear and tear for a 35 year old Cruiser with 134k miles. The BFG tires are in excellent condition and the have just been balanced on the factory steel wheels. The motor runs cool with good oil pressure at idle. You will like the way it drives, I would not hesitate to drive it accross the country. However, the bike you purchase may have factory warranty remaining. Texas Best Used Motorcycles also offers extended warranties for your piece of mind. We encourage all buyers to look at the bike in person or order an inspection by a third party prior to the auction ending. A $500 partial payment is due immediately. Buyer must contact our office within 24 hours of auction close. The balance must be received within 7 business days via wire transfer, cash, or check. All checks are subject to 10 day hold. All bidders with 0 or negative feedback must contact us prior to bidding. Otherwise, your bid may be canceled. If these terms are not adhered to, we reserve the right to relist or otherwise sell the vehicle.
