Vehicle Original VIN : AR3022490
Very few cars continue to get better with age. The Alfa Romeo GTV lineup has some of the sexiest lines of any car from the 70's. The Italian car manufacturer had their design team and production team all on the same page when they built these works of art.
Thrilled to present this stunning 1973 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 that enjoyed a very nice refurbishment in 2021 and 2022. Vehicle remains in a stock setup in almost every way but countless hours and effort were spent to retain the factory setup and highlight the features of this GTV.
Exterior was repainted in Dutch Blue and proper badging on the C-pillars were added along with wrap-around chrome bumpers, lenses, yellow fog lights, 14in steel wheels, Bertone fender emblems and new tires.
Inside the front bucket seats and rear bench were fitted with new seat covers from Classic Alfa, new square weave carpet kit, refinished Personal wood steering wheel, wood trim preserved, gauges properly working and nice trim pieces. Dash is in excellent condition along with door panels and manual crank windows and pop out vented rear side windows.
Under the hood is the stellar 2.0L twin cam inline 4 cyl with the famous SPICA injection system. New PerTronix electronic ignition was added along with new rear main seal, spark plugs, ignition wires, engine mounts and exhaust shields. In the early 90's the engine was rebuilt by Midwest AutoSport in Illinois with new pistons, liners, connecting rods, timing chain, and cylinder heads. In 2022 transmission was rebuilt with new synchros and selector sleeves along with 2nd, 3rd, and 5th gear by Besic Motorsports. Further work done by them was machining the flywheel, installing Sachs clutch assembly, resealing the limited slip differential and replacing the driveshaft flex disc and transmission mounts.
This car has a ton of extra parts, 2nd set of wheels with tires and a large file of documentation.
The real enjoyment is getting behind the wheel and driving this GTV as the engine and exhaust put a large grin on your face. This is a joy to drive on any back road with some turns and twists. Keep the revs high and push this car as it only will pay you back with thumbs up from passersbys. You will never duplicate this car for the price offered and it would cost almost double to bring a car to this standard if you start with a project Alfa. Buy it done, drive and enjoy. YOu will never regret this fantastic opportunity.
