Exterior:
All original body and paint except the paint on the top of the left fender. 99% rust free car, see all the pics for floor boards, trunk floor, under carraige, trunk floor extensions, all are solid. The only actual rust is the spot on either side where the top of the quarter panel meet the roof panel and I have those pictured. Those 2 spots should not necessitate any metal work, just clean them up thoroughly and re-lead or use filler before painting. Originally had a white 2 sided vinyl top with the painted roof showing on the center, which was factory on this car. The white vinyl was in shreads, so I removed what I could and put all the molding in the trunk. Also the lower molding for the windshield and back glass are also in the trunk along with the wiper arms. Both doors open and close nice and solid with no sag, just as they should. The left fender has some very old filler and paint on it. The paint has faded to an almost pink color, but if you look at the engine compartment pics, you will notice the original paint is still on the inner flange and even below the molding. I felt behind the fender and I don't really feel any damage, so not sure if it was to repair a dent or scratch, but either way, I believe the fender would still be fine with some new body filler and paint. Otherwise the body is solid. Oh, there are dings, scratches and some small dents, but for restoration purposes, no replacement panels are needed. Someone along the line added a crappy aftermarket mirror on the passenger side door, which I have removed, but there are two screw holes that are not factory, so those will need to be plug welded before paint. The windshield is cracked, otherwise the glass is all there and in usable condition. Both the windshield and back glass have good solid channels that will only require some cleanup and paint in the corners, no metal work. I have more pics of the channels, message me for more pics, I ran out of picture space.
Interior:
Front buckets are very solid structurally with good hard shell backs and both operate forward and back as they should, manual seats of course. Obviously the driver side is shreaded, so a new set of covers would be in order for a restoration. The rear seat is dirty, I won't clean it, leave that for the buyer to choose what to do. All the vinyl, as it is 50+ years old, is stiff and won't last very long with regular use. If you don't use the back seat, then cleaning might suffice. I ripped all the carpet out long ago and so you will need some new carpet. I didn't remove the console when I did it, just cut along the bottom edge, so some original carpet is under the console. Speaking of the console, it is in decent shape, but not perfect. And the actual shifter top, the plastic parts with the spring loaded pieces all need to be replaced, the plastic has failed. I can still shift it, but it is finicky. The dash is cracked in spots on top where it was exposed to the sun. All the gauges work. The driver side door panel has had previous repair and the release handle on the inside is just a piece of metal. It works, but will need replacing for restoration. Not sure if the headliner is original, but it doesn't look like any headliner I've ever seen, so I don't think it is, see pics.
Drivetrain:
304 2 barrel engine with automatic trans. Runs and drives, but I blew the driver side rear freeze plug out of it recently, so I can't drive it too far for fear of overheating with the little bit of water that I maintain in the block so I can move it around. Don't be fooled by the pics, the engine has never been rebuilt, I just cleaned up the top end and re-sprayed the correct color on it a while back so it would look better. Does not have its original carb, it currently has a holley 500cfm 2 bbl carb that I had lying around. It works okay, but the manual choke isn't hooked up and I have to go under the hood to manipulate the choke to start and warm it up. Transmission shifts through all 3 gears evenly and smoothly. No idea the rear end ratio and pretty sure it's an open rear end, no locker. Was a factory AC car, no compressor is in there now, but all the other bits look to be there, including the condensor, dryer, lines, etc. Has a new fuel pump, plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, thermostat, radiator hoses and valve cover gaskets. I have the heater core bypassed, I was afraid the core was old and might blow. Drum brakes on all 4 corners, manual drums at that, at you have to really lean on the pedal, so they should be at least gone through if not upgraded. Power steering works though. Tires and wheels are okay for moving around until you can buy new tires, not sure their age, but I'm guessing old and not safe for highway use, although they are not dry rotted or anything like that. Has its spare inside the trunk along with the hold down bolt and wing nut.
Bottom line, this is a solid car, worthy of a restoration without metal work. With some parts, time, minor body work and new paint, this would be a "simple" restoration. Oh, I know, no such thing, but if you are looking for a solid car to start with, you could look long and far and not find one this solid to start with. Message me for more pics or if you have any questions. If you are really serious, I will leave you my cell number in my return message so we can talk.

I know this sounds cruel and inhumane, but if this doesn't sell, I'm parting this car out. Purists cringe now, lol.
