Vehicle Details

This 1979 Alfetta Sprint Veloce is an amazing survivor .. it was sold by European Motor Cars at Walnut Creek and went through three owners from 1980 to 2000 all in the greater San Francisco area. From 2000 to 2021, it was owned by the fourth owner also from Northern California.. I have the original Bill of Sales and complete service records from 1980 on… it looks like it has always been lovingly maintained by past four amazing owners..

I bought it in 8/‘21 with 89,522 and presently has 90,011.

During my time:

Driveshaft was overhauled with new center support & bearing, new donuts and fluid service

Presently the spica FI system always starts easily and idles smoothly immediately..

As the driving video shows (look up “Alfa 79alfetta@6052”), car drives smoothly whether chugging along at 20mph or going through the gears quickly in spirited manner.. it will keep up with any City traffic and cruise at 70mph all day on the highway without any drama.

Steering is still very tight and suspension is supple & responsive and dialed in.

Clutch is meaty & progressive and shifting is classic Alfetta without any synchro issues shifting up or down.

Braking is reassuring without any pulling and parking brake is nice & tight

Engine starts easily and idles smooth.. very quiet snd responsive and will rev up all the way to 6k rpm without any hesitation

Exhaust sounds sporty.

Exterior has undergone one paint job in the 90’s with paint as new without any rust.. Undercarriage is super clean without any rust since it has been a Northern California car all of its life.

Engine bay is super tidy with emissions equipment all intact, which is great news if the new owner needs to register in California… the previous California owners had no issue passing emissions test in the past.

Interior had update upholstery in vinyl while door cards are still in original burgandy leather. The dash has a dash mat which covers a few cracks from California sun. Otherwise interior is pristine with all the gauges, buttons, electrical including front & rear parking lights, headlights, all working perfectly which is a rare treat in these Alfettas..

This is overall an amazing survivor due to all the TLC it has received through out its life time not to mention nearly no rust to speak of having spent first 42 years in essentially greater San Francisco area.

I am selling because I have bought too many cool Alfas over the years and need to thin my collection.

The car is being sold as is, where is, without any warranties whatsoever.

The shipping is buyer’s responsibility but I will help as best as I can and can keep car stored for 10 days following transaction.

I have the right to end as I have car for sale locally as well.
