1985 BMW 635 CSi. The previous owner disassembled the car to paint it. It has a few very small rust spots below the front windshield and below the rear window. Also, as you can see around the rear wheel wells which he already addressed.
See the photos. Some of the photos are from the previous owner. This is how the car looks right now except he did not pass the wheels on to me so it has stock BMW wheels with good rubber and tread. I bought the car mid July of this year, so a month ago. It seems all of the parts are there except the dashboard and I didn't see the instrument cluster so I don't know the real mileage but there are some parts piled in the car and trunk I still have not gone through. The person I bought the car from started the car with Ether, he said he removed the fuel from the tank when he started working on it. It looks to have all of the interior panels though they have been removed. The front seats are cloth and Leather so I am guessing from a Euro model possibly even a different model (this is not a Euro model) the seats have the adjustable leg support as you can see in the photos. The rear seat cushions and al are there but the leather has been removed. All of the seats will need to be recovered.
I was going to pull the windows out of the car, fix the minor rust, have it painted and put it back together (I have a number of these E24's and I love them) unfortunately the car is in Florida and I don't have as much space there as I need to do the project and at this point, just want the garage space back where the car is right now. I just paid $600 in June for a front fender, $189 for the grill assembly, $90 for the corner light housing two months ago for one of my cars that was hit by a drunk driver. It would be sad to part it out but if you have the space, parts alone of this car would pay for it self multiple times over. These motors are selling for a couple grand each, not to mention the transmission, differential and everything else. The vehicle is in Palm Beach Gardens Florida. If you are local, you are welcome to see it in person. If you get the winning bid, I will work with you to arrange pick up from an auto shipper, tow truck, your buddy with a truck and trailer, whatever. Has great bones and could be a great looking Shark for someone who is looking for a project, could also make a great track car. Available to answer any of your questions.
