I am selling my 1968 MG which has been meticulously cared for. This car is great looking and a blast to drive. I am told that I am the 4th owner of this car which spent most of its life in the southern US. It had a restoration about 10 years ago which included the addition of a rebuilt transmission with overdrive, rebuilt SU Carbs, Petronix electronic ignition, new exhaust, new paint, new moss interior kit (panels / carpet and seats) wires and alternator. More recent additions are a Moss oil cooler, new coil, new battery, cutoff switch, leather wrapped center console, convertible top and leather steering wheel.
The car starts right up and runs very well with strong oil pressure and nice idle. If your familiar with MGs you know that Overdrive is a must for highway travel. While to whole car presents well, the engine bay is the gem being extremely clean and tidy as you can see in the pictures. The body is straight and the paint job is of high quality however there are a few scratches and imperfections if you look closely due to age. The convertible top and interior (black with red piping) are in excellent shape with clear windows and no tears whatsoever. Dashboard is clean as well with no tears or imperfections. The electrical components all work with the exception of the lighter and map light which I haven't gotten around to. The odometer shows 88,958 but as with any car this age may not be correct. I am including the jack, spare tire, original steering wheel (which is in surprisingly good condition), owners manual, extra bulbs and switches, polish and auto cover and tonneau cover.
I am happy to answer any questions regarding the car. I need to sell because I am downsizing and have no more garage room. The car comes with clear NYS transferrable registration. I am asking $10,500 which I believe to be very reasonable considering the condition and market for these cars and overall condition.
