Vehicle Details

Up for sale is a beautiful 1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Convertible that has finished a long restoration by the father of my sellers. The father has passed and now his Lincoln is for sale. The girls want to see it go to a good home. This Is a nice car with a good restoration. Not a show car but a very good driver quality. The restoration took almost 10 years. The car was taken apart and at one time was on a rotisserie in an auto shop. We don't know very much about the restoration, but the girls said it was a passion of their fathers and he spent a lot of money on the cars rebuild. I looked it over very well and I found that everything works on the car except the driver's door power vent wing window. All light work, head lights, taillights, turn signals and Inside lighting. The Power seat, clock, horn, Town and Country radio, and the dual power antennas all work as they should. The power top works but needs help when going up as I here that they all did. It has a new white convertible top, and a new black top dose come with the car, but the father didn't like the color when it was put on so decided on the white one. The body is very strait, and paint was professionally applied in the Burgundy color and look very nice, but I did find a Coupal of small chips, one on the corner of the back of the hood and one place on the bottom of the driver's door. (hard to see the door one) (Please look at all pictures closely) all chrome has been re-chromed but there is one spot on the top of the small rear corner trim next to the trunk that the chrome is pilling. (again, look at the pictures) We know that the engine was rebuilt. It starts easy, transmission shifts as it should and it drive very nice, brakes are also good. All gages work and the gage panel looks new. Nice dash. It has new upholstery; new carpeting and the interior looks fresh. The trunk also has new carpeting and a matching spare tire and wheel. The original wheels and a set of original hubcaps do come with the car. In the trunk are the spears that attach to the bonnet when the top is down. Overall, this is one nice looking and driving Lincoln Continental. Something to be proud of. I'm listing this beautiful car for the family, and I will take all questions to them.
