1971 Chevrolet C10 Short Bed with a Chevrolet 400 CI V8 and a Turbo 400 Automatic transmission. Please check my EBay feedback score. I have over 100% 1200 positive feedbacks, and I want to be sure the new owner knows exactly what they are buying. My 1971 Chevrolet truck runs good, starts easily, and is currently registered and insured. I have a clean/clear State of Utah title in my name. The odometer reads 50500
With this information in mind, I will outline both the positive and negative aspects of my truck. First, why am I selling it? I've been an antique car nut since I was 16 years old. Currently, I'm turning into an antique at 83 years of age. I'm a retired teacher, and I spend my time tinkering with old cars. I can still get down underneath my car and truck projects, but I need a strategic plan to get back up or I have to call my wife for assistance.
The positive aspects of my 1971 Chevrolet Short Bed. This is a good running and driving truck. If you check the photos, you can see the body went through a professional body and paint shop. The truck was stripped down to just the cab and frame. The bed, tailgate, doors, hood and front fenders were removed. I purchased over $2,000 worth of paint, not counting the body and paint application work. I installed a good running Chevrolet C20, 400 cubic inch V8, with a Turbo 400 transmission. It has dual exhausts and power steering. The four barrel carburetor was rebuilt and a new power brake system installed. The front brakes are disc brakes. It has electronic ignition. The truck has new LMC parts. The rear bumper, the oak wood bed and stainless steel bed strips, as well as a new LMC steering wheel, dash pad, seat cover, door panels, and carpet are all new from LMC.The side trim is also new and it has a new gas tank. These parts are aftermarket parts designed for a Chevrolet C10. It has a new water proof cover designed for a chevy short bed. All the glass is good and it has original Chevrolet rims and hubcaps. The receipts and an original 1971 Chevrolet Shop Manual are included. All the glass is good as well as the tires. It has the original rims and original hubcaps.
The negative aspects of my 1971 Chevrolet Short Bed: I took the GMC paint codes to a local auto paint store. The color didn't match the original paint, which can be seen on the firewall and in some parts of the dash. I like the new color. It is well done and it has received several compliments, but again, it doesn't match the original color. When the body shop put the truck back together, they didn't hook up all of the wiring and missed a dog leg with rust on the driver's side.It is an easy repair, but I want to be sure there are no surprises. I was in the process of buying new headlight wiring harnesses, but didn't get it done. The original wiring is still in place, but needs attention. I'm sure there are other issues, but it is a good running and driving 1971 Chevrolet C10. On a short trip to Ace Hardware, one person asked if they could take photos of the truck. When I pulled up at the hardware store, the coffer shop's outside crowd next-door gave me a short round of applause.
My name is Bob, and my phone number is (801) 745-5835. Don't hesitate to call and ask questions about the truck. I will work with you regarding the pick up time frame. If you have less than five (5) feedbacks on EBay, please message me on EBays message system or give me a call. I want this to be a good straightforward auction with not problems for bidders.
