Here is the story behind this C10 with the VIN# CE1405160890. A man came to my shop and asked me to restore this beautiful truck. I told him I don’t do restorations. He is a doctor and well off. I told him I could take it to an expert and see what he said. He agreed. I am not a classic car expert and don’t care for them. I only agreed because I am a curious person and like to learn more about things. I took the truck to the expert and all the people in the shop came out and started looking at it like kids looking at Santa Claus at Christmas time. Everyone was so excited to see it and said so many nice things about it. To be honest, I had no idea what they were talking about and didn’t care. The shop owner was a very honorable old man who gave me a quote to restore this truck and told me that this truck was in high demand. I went back to my shop and the next day or two later, the doctor showed up with his usual smile and asked me if I wanted to help him restore the truck. I told David (the doctor) that I would like be as transparent as possible with you. I told David exactly what the restoraton shop said to me. I told him that this truck was really good for restoration and that he could easily sell it for over 80k after restoration. I told him the cost of restoration which wasn't bad at all. David looked at me and said listen to me please. I don't have room for this truck in my garage and my wife told me to get rid of one of my two trucks imediatley. Then he said, I want you to take it off my hands. I told David listen. I'm not in the business of taking advantage of people and I'm afraid I'll offend you if my offer is too low. David said just give me a price and don't worry about my feelings. David told me how much he paid for it and I know he was not lying about what he paid for. I made him an offer and he immediatley shook my hand and agreed to do the deal.I paid the money right away and took the clean title. I've had the truck parked at my place for over a year now and no one has touched it. My wife is upset now and told me to get rid of it. I was never attached to the truck and I really don't want it parked at my place any longer. I'm selling it to someone who will appreciate it. The truck is clean and rust free and there are no holes in the seat. The trim came off but I still have it and it can be easily reattached. The A/C doesn't work and starts up right away. I'm selling this truck as is without any warranty. It has a clean Texas Title and it shows low miles on it. David told me he has owned it for over 20 years and has taken great care of it. The tires look decent and the paint needs some touch up. Again, if I know of any issues with this truck, I will disclose them to you. You are welcome to come and inspect it.
