SELLING A 1953 2 TON 6400 CHEVY 5 WINDOW FLAT BED TRUCK PUCHASED FROMTHE TOWN OF KENEBUNK, KENEBUNK PORT AND WELLS WATER DEPARTMENT IN 1992 . I PAID 10k FOR CUSTOM BUILT BED FOR IT SOON AFTER AND HAD THE CAB RESTORED AT MY BOAT YARD IN HYANNIS MASS . IT INCLUDED ORIGINAL NOS GM FRONT FENDERS . NOS GM RUNNINING BOARDS AND A NOS GRILL GUARD FROM CHEVY . THE TOWN INSTALED A LATER 325 ENGINE . IT WAS USED BY THE WATER DEPATMENT AND IT HAD A WELDER ON THE ORIGINAL BED THAT IT USED FOR THAWING OUT FROZEN PIPES IN THE TOWNS , AND ALSO OTHER TOWN JOBS .YOU MIGHT KNOW THIS TRUCK IF YOU WERE AROUND IN THE 80's NOW THE REAR IS LOCKED UP. AND WILL NEED A FLAT BED TO BE MOVED . THE AXLE CARRIER SUPPORTS THAT THE REAR LEAF SPRINGS  BOLT UP TO ARE BUSTED FROM MOVING WITH IT WITH  SEIEZED REAR BRAKES DRUMS .i HAD NO CHOISE TO PUT THE TRUCK OUT WITH THEN FROZEN AS I COULD NOT WORK AROUR THE TRUCK WITH THE STORAGE SO TIGHT IN THE GARARGE. I DONT HAVE AND DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH IT NOW  ,AS MY PLAN WAS TO PUT A CUMMINGS 4 CYLINDER DIESEL IN ANY WAY. IT WITH NEW ALL NEW FRONT AND REAR AXLES .CAB,  INTERIOR ,BED AND FRAME ARE EXCELENT. DRIVELINE NEEDS WAY MORE WORK THAN IT IS WORTH WHILE .BUT THAT CAN BE YOU CALL IM SURE THE MOTOR AND TRANS HAVE SOME VALUE ALSO...CALL FIVE ZERO EIGHT SIX FOUR EIGHT 3470 FOR INFO .
