For sale is a highly original 1964 Porsche 356 SC. A little back story on the car, It has been a ONE FAMILY OWNER vehicle for the last 40 years. A friend of their family bought this car at Carlsen Porsche In San Francisco, CA in 1971. We have very extensive records from that owner that include dealer paperwork, and service records. In 1985 he sold the vehicle to his family friends and they proceeded on owning it until this year. They kept detailed records of everything that was done. We have three binders of photos, records, and the car's schematics. Furthermore we have to folders additional service records. It has to be one of the most documented 356?s i have seen. In 1997 the vehicle had its first and only partial restoration. They painted it the original color, and bought cloth seats. Besides that it remained all original. We have documentation and photos when it was being done. The family has a lot of dear memories with the car, but it was time for it to go to a new owner. The car is finished in Factory in Light Ivory (6404) over a black interior. The exterior is very straight, and the paint looks good. It has a few minor imperfections as shown in the video. The interior looks great. It is powered by its original, numbers matching 1.6-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. We do have a copy of the Certificate of Authenticy to prove this is all numbers matching. Mechanically it runs and drives great. The motor is very healthy, sounds great and has plenty of power. Transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. It has always been very well serviced through the years. Koni shocks. Suspension, brakes, and clutch all feel great. The floors are in excellent condition and original! It has never been undercoated, and the nose has never been touched. This is a very unmolested, original example.
