Up for sale is this 1971 International Scout 800B Comanche. Rarely do these come up for sale or auction. I can count only a few examples that have surfaced for sale in the last 5 years. The Comanche edition was a limited run of 1500 units, near the end of production for the 800 body style just before the switch over to the Scout II platform. The Comanche package featured special items like wampum belt stripe, bucket seats, chrome disc wheels and undercoating. This Comanche had a restoration completed in October 2023 that included a fresh professionally applied repaint, new wheels and tires as well as mechanical upgrades. Rust free original panels up top and rust free under carriage below. Inside tub has been coated with a textured surface that looks great. When I restored the Scout back in 2023 I thought about doing a frame off but it was in such good shape I decided to salvage the original factory undercoating. The frame is solid and has been coated with a gloss rustoleum finish. All lighting throughout the vehicle has been replaced with LED parts. Aftermarket bumpers in the front and rear have been added and were professionally powder coated by Hi-Tek coating in Lynchburg VA. New decals from Scoutco were applied as well as all new chrome badging throughout. All new body gaskets and seals to include window felt were also installed. In October of 2023 I also added 15x8 Fuel wheels with 30x9.50 BF-Goodrich all terrain tires. Original chrome factory disk wheels will also be included in sale. This Scout still has the original 304ci motor that was rebuilt by the previous owner, 89K shown on odometer seems to be correct mileage. The Scout sounds good with a single outlet magnaflow exhaust system. Motor is backed by a 727 torque flight auto transmission from a Scout II which shifts smooth.  This scout was originally a factory 4spd which I changed out so my wife could enjoy driving as much as I did. I also retained the factory manual pedal assembly in case I ever wanted to convert the Scout back to the factory 4spd setup. The Scout still has the factory transfer case and the 4WD works great. Newer Holley carburetor is backed by two new poly tanks, sending units and filler neck hoses. The Scout still retains manual steering and brakes but has been upgraded to a SBCC four wheel disk brake setup which works great. The Scout has Bilstein shocks on all four corners and CPT gold series tierod & drag link assembly. Inside the Scout has the original am radio (non functional) but also has a highfonics 6 speaker bluetooth system connected to an aftermarket roll bar. Factory oil pressure and temp gauges are non operational but dual Bosch gauges are mounted below dash and work great. Factory buckets and rear seat are in good condition other than a small tear at the seam in the driver seat as well as some wear showing in the driver seat bottom. I have the original door panels that will need new backing board to use again but could be salvaged. Also included is the factory dash pad that is solid but does have some cracking. I have a book full of receipts for most of the parts that I have added to the Scout as well as the original factory VIN plate. You would be hard pressed to find any Scout 80/800 in this shape and the fact that this is a limited edition Comanche makes it extra special. Keep the original power plant to  drive and enjoy or this would be a great Scout to finish with the ever so popular LS swap that companies like Scoutco or Anything Scout are performing. In a world full of Jeeps, Broncos and even Scout II models dare to be different than the others. For sure to be the only Scout Comanche at the car show.
