1998 Ford E350 Ambulance/ RV CONVERSION / McCoy Miller All Aluminum Box, No Corrosion, Ambulance Truck Chassis in Excellent Condition. We spent over 5k in maintenance on the truck chassis before we even started the conversion. This Truck has a 7.3 diesel engine, the best diesel engine ever made for a medium duty vehicle, I personally have had 10 trucks with this particular engine. The updates on the Truck Chassis including, New Front Brake Pads, New Front Rotors, New Front Shocks, the truck came with a rebuilt transmission and is marked as such, New Glow Plugs, New Radiator, New water pump, New Idler Pulley's, New Belt New Radiator Hoses, ALL NEW Firestone TransForce tires, new Crank Sensor, New Ignition Switch , New Block Heater, New Door Lock Cylinders, New Multi Switch for Lights and Blinkers, Three New Interstate Batteries for the Truck Chassis. This particular model has low ratio rear axle gearing, 3.05 ratio, which means better fuel economy. We installed a 10,000lb trailer hitch with 7 prong RV trailer lighting. We completed the conversion in late spring, and have put over 6000 miles on this unit, with no issues. Truck gets 11 miles per gallon, with or without our car trailer. We installed a separate 12-volt DC system in the living area, with two 750-amp hour gel batteries as can be seen in the pictures. The DC system runs the LED lighting, 12-volt TV with DVD, water pump for the marine sink, usb outlets for charging, 12-volt Diesel furnace, new refrigerator, and exhaust fan. Currently system includes 20-gallon freshwater tank. This particular ambulance has an on-board diesel generator with less than 70 hours on it, and it works perfectly. The diesel generator powers the existing lights in the house area and the numerous AC 110 plugs. The truck has the ambulance option, which includes two alternators on the engine. The existing electrical system on the ambulance includes a shoreline hook up, that automatically powers the lights and interior ac plugs, and an AC to DC charger that constantly keeps the truck batteries topped off. We installed a Battery Isolator. This isolator has two functions, when the truck is running, any voltage over 12.8 goes back to charge the gel batteries in the house system, secondly, when the ambulance is attached to a shoreline, any voltage over 12.8 from the AC to DC charger, automatically charges the house system. This ambulance was also originally equipped with a 12 volt to 110 AC inverter that powers lighting and 110 AC plugs in the box while the engine is running. Our conversion inside includes vinyl flooring, and natural pine. We removed the "jump seat" that was in the box and replaced it with 2019 Ford Leather seat. We used a Rec-Pro 80-inch couch that converts to a bed and used a Butcher Block counter with a marine sink to increase our counter space. Additionally in the 12-volt house electric system we added another 12 volts to 110 AC inverter that we use to power the refrigerator. The refrigerator is powered from the 12-volt gel batteries in the house system. Additionally, we added a 12-volt sound bar, that has the blue tooth option, that we have used for radio, internet, and the TV. There is tremendous amount of storage both inside, with the existing cabinets, and with the outside cabinets. We added a toolbox area in one of these cabinets as you can see from the pictures. I had two skoolies previously, and I prefer the ambulance, it is easier to drive, built alot tougher than the school buses, much quieter, and the tremendous amount of storage is a real plus. Ambulance has clear Ohio title is already set up as RV, I currently have the Ambulance insured with state farm as an RV. alot has been updated snice pictures so some not in the pictures
