Nice original 1967 Corvette with its born with original 427 engine, transmission and differential. Beautiful original color Marina blue, with a black vinyl interior. 435hp tri-power, CR transmission with a 3:70 positraction rear. As good as it gets
32,455 miles shown on odometer, I see nothing that would question that as being accurate. Rear and trans never appear to be touched and story from auctioneer indicated engine just had heads off as was needed valve seals from sitting. I have no documentation to support that claim but it appears that is the case looking at motor.
This car was delivered new in California so was delivered with the required smog equipment, which is still fully intact and operating with its original date coded correct to car pump. The engine originality has been confirmed by the well respected CCAS and includes the confirming documents.
Original air cleaner lid included with original foam element screen and new element. Not shown in pics
The car runs and drives as is, but would require restoring if show quality is desired.
Current owner purchased car at Mecum auction in Kissimmee just this year with the intention of full restoration but after purchasing he came across an opportunity he preferred so has decided to sell this one.
It is an old repaint, and there was some light LH fender damage at some point early in its life, other than that I see no evidence of any other damage, the frame appears perfect showing no corrosion and still obvious black paint in many areas. Car has excellent factory lines and gaps. Car was sold by original California owner to next owner in Georgia, who used it and then kept it stored for many years. He finally sold it to a dealer who offered it at Mecuum.
It had sat in storage for quite some time prior. It has what appears to be a solid, but original exhaust system, was offered at auction running with new spark plug wires and plugs. Current owner had it CCAS confirmed to authenticate the engine pad. Engine runs and sings with that sewing machine sound of solid lifters. Current owner had oil and filter changed as even though it appeared clean he was not confident it had appropriate oil for this car with enough zinc additive. It has its original 4 speed close ratio transmission and 3:70 gear ratio differential.
Has its original DC rims with really nice trim rings and center caps, with redline F-70/15 tires.
Full tinted original glass. Nice interior, no other options.
Has service records , etc included. Build date is is about 3rd week of April, early 17 thousand vin #.
This is a rare find, exceptional actually as its an easy restoration, solid and as authentic as they come. Inspections welcomed and encouraged, questions answered promptly. Please no photo collectors or offers to help sell.
Pictures of anything specific wanted just ask, any questions just ask.
Please no contacts from brokers offering to help me sell it, I don't want it.
Car pick up is buyers responsibility and I will easily assist any transporter of your choice that is willing to pick it up here during business hours of 9am to 6pm. If you hire some cheap amateur that wants to meet me in a shopping center at 4 am , it will not happen. Calls will be accepted by buyer only, not transporter, you deal with who you hire. Been down this road many times.
All of the large, professional, reputable car carriers have picked up here no problem, no low trees, no small roads, no bad turns, no excuses.
Payment terms arranged, $500 deposit required to bid, for obvious reasons, it is non refundable unless I have misrepresented something. Full payment within 7 days or lose right to purchase.
I am honest and represent what I know. Inspections should be prior to bidding. Do your research on me, well known in industry, car pick up schedule arranged, but no extended storage. Car kept safe and protected and unused until pick up.
