Details
This impeccably restored and maintained 1967 Ford Mustang was built in the style of the Shelby GT500. The classic black exterior with white racing stripes is complemented by a black vinyl interior and wood steering wheel. Originally an A-code 1967 Mustang Fastback, this GT500 Clone is powered by a 390ci V8 bored .030 and a three-speed C6 automatic transmission and shows 2,684 miles on the odometer, though the total mileage is unknown.
To capture the look of the GT500, various modifications were made, including adding GT500-style tail lights, installing a new hood, as well as adjustments to the suspension to accommodate the stock-looking larger 17-inch wheels and tire package. Shelby GT500 badges adorn the exterior and several interior updates add modern touches while preserving the classic look. These include an automatic shift kit, Phantom gauges, an updated electrical system, and Bluetooth-enabled retro-looking stereo. The car comes with Vintage Air components that were removed by the current owner.
This completely restored Mustang was acquired by the current owner in 2015 from a seller in Chicago. It was shipped via enclosed transport to Georgia where it is currently offered for sale. The sale includes a current third-party inspection detailing its condition and a car cover.
This Mustang is now available in Georgia as a Premium Listing on and is being offered by Robert Lewis.

About the model
The GT500 was first introduced in 1967 as part of the 1967-1968 Ford Shelby Mustang. Since then, the GT500 has gone on to become one of the most iconic cars ever built, achieving almost mythical status. Initially offered solely in a fastback coupe body style, the GT500 became available as a convertible in 1968. These high-performance sports cars were powered by Ford's 'FE' 428 V8 engine, which offered 355hp in 1967 and 335hp in 1968. Drive from the engine was sent to the rear wheels through a standard 4-speed manual transmission or an optional 3-speed automatic transmission. The 1967-1968 GT500 was replaced by the 1969-1970 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500.
